Enjoyable dinner and show

The Chinese banquet was delicious. Our friends were celebrating their wedding anniversary and they were indulged with champagne and cake at the end of the meal much to the enjoyment of all the guests. The show was a delight of colour showing costumes and music from the Tang Dynasty.

(This review covers the performance only; we did not choose either dinner option, as the price seemed high compared to some of the excellent  nearby restaurants.)   We had high expectations for this performance, given its consistently high ratings on various travel sites.  Unfortunately, our expectations didn't come close to being met.    The show is a composite of several... The dumplings were certainly not the best in the area. Obviously done plain and tasteless for foreign tourists like us. No reason for them to be cold. We have had much better in the city. The show was pleasant enough but would not recommend unless part of your package with no other options.

we partook of the dumpling dinner in one of the restaurant's rooms prior to convening to the theater for the show. the appetizer dish that includes jellyfish, cha siu, beef slices, chicken, tomato, cucumbers and peanuts is not everyone's cup of tea but that meant there was more for me. the dumplings made up the majority of the dinner and... The food was lovely - 14 varieties of dumpling - the show was Ok - didn't really hold my attention - the Chinese / English translations were laughable at times. It was included as part of our Wendy Wu trip but I wouldn't have paid a considerable extra amount for this.

We visited the restaurant with our Tour Company but did not take in the optional show as well. We dined on the 3rd Floor where we were served with a sumptious Chinese buffet, Others on our tour also took in the show and their feedback when returning was that this was very good. Don't make the mistake that we did... More

All I can say is WOW! This was an add on excursion to our tour and I am so glad that we went. First of the dumpling meal was out of this world! They brought so many courses of different dumplings and each one was designed differently, some looked like animals etc. Then came the show! I was totally blown... More

All was close to say that it's exсellent but the performance finishes and you come out of the building into a very modern win huge houses street where people are hurring up home and cars fill the air with messy sounds. You'll remember this moment spent in another epoch for a long time.

We weren't sure what to expect from this show as it was part of our tour but we were pleasantly surprised. It was entertaining and education as we saw some types of dancing and instruments played that we had seen in other tours we took but never in a full scale production. The dumplings weren't too bad either and we... More

We had the show planned in our itinerary by our tour company and we were of two minds because it was at the end of a long day. However, our guide convinced us to go and we elected to do the dumplings during the performance. I must say that the huge varierty of dumplings supplied had us all stuffed at... More
