The venue was awesome, a lunch buffet in a theatre where a Tang Dynasty show is performed in the evening. The entrance to the theatre/restaurant was very imposing , with a huge drum in the foyer. The buffet itself was very varied, from beef stew to sushi ! Authentic Chinese dishes were alternated with western andJapanese cuisine. There was a... More

The food was average to good Chinese food with ice cream offered at the end which was a nice touch before the show. The performances were stylized but good examples of the style on show. It was a good mix of light and humorous and then beautiful dances. Worth a visit if you have time time.

Food: Rubbery, dry and uninspiring dumplings. Rude service. Very overpriced beers (that you have to beg for). Performance: well rehearsed, but not suited to a western standard of good entertainment. If you're expecting to be blown away, best avoid. Lots of dancing in cheap (and stained) costumes. I can't complain too much as his was included on a tour. but... More

yeap, over the head theatrics, but none the less a well rehearsed and acted opera. It was alright really, but not something I'd personally enjoy. As for the dumpling fest, I wrote a review on that on another page, but in a nutshell, I would give that 0 stars if the website allowed.

This is a traditional Chinese Opera depicting the Tang Dynasty with a dumpling dinner before the show. Food was OK. It looked better than it tasted. I did not like the fact that the large tour buses would come in to see the show and had reserved seats when we actually there earlier, dined and spent more money and got... More

Food hall style setup, where we were served dry rubber dumplings in many flavours. The show was pretty bad. Seemed like the idea was just to throw some chinese clothes and music together for some tourists. Probably also why 99% of the audience were non-chinese. Go if you need pictures for your photo album of "chinese culture".

There is a reason you will not find any Chinese customers here, it's an authentic tourist trap. It feels you are getting machine-stuffed with bad dumplings. After the small complimentary drink, you can only order whole bottles. Some of the dancers do their best, but the show as a whole isn't that great either. If you have a bit of... More

This is an unfortunate example of how Chinese culture is shamefully manipulated for the purposes of making money out of tourists. The food is average to say the least; the performance is tacky and the overall atmosphere feels as though all of the foreigners have been rounded up and force-fed tasteless dumplings and equally tasteless 'culture'.

We spent more than we wanted to for the show and dinner. It's defiantly a tourist spot. The food was nothing special and lacked flavor. If you have never seen a traditional show in Asia it's worth it. If you have I would pass on this show unless you can get discount tickets. It's basically a dinner theater.
