Description: Opposite the Waterfall hotel beside the lake. Formerly named Congee City. More rustic than slick but the food's ok and the nplace is open 'til late, which is unusual especially in this part of Guilin. It'sa useful address, I think. DW

The beauty of the river and the insight to the fishing villages were remarkable. We loved the views of the mountains.

This is a great way to see the countryside, mountains, and river. The scenery is absolutely stunning and you will even get to see the inspiration for the 20RMB note. The lunch buffet is lacking so pack it on at breakfast. They will offer you drinks, souvenirs, etc. but will not pressure you into buying anything. It’s pretty crowded with... More

Easy way to get from Gwaylin to Yansho. The food was a little so so, but amazing they cook so many different dishes and provided a buffett with an open kitchen on the back of the boat.

This was my second trip down the Li river and although it was much busier than 20 years ago I enjoyed it very much, the show of impressions at the end of the boat trip is something to behold

We also went hiking but to get the best perspective of the limestone mountains and the water, there is nothing like being on the cruise. The lunch food was okay. I would DEFINITELY add this to your plan if you come to Guilin.

Fine...just not fine dining....but that is offset by the exquisite setting....the Li River is beautiful....even magical....a must see if traveling to China

There seems to be some confusion on some of the reviews here, as they are about the cruise and not the restaurant. The restaurant is highly recommended by the locals, so we gave it a go. . . however, we find the food is average but with the price quite reasonable, it's hard to fault them.

We were herded onto a boat reserved for foreigners and sat 6 to a table with bench seats on two sides. It was pretty uncomfortable for a long trip. The scenery was beautiful - stunning actually - but there were too many boats and too many people. We chose to not eat the lunch buffet, which seemed to be a... More

Beautiful scenery and well worth the time. Terrible food-eat beforehand. This is a 1/2 day trip more than enough so do not combine with raft trip in same spot. Raft rides are a rip off- keep stopping for you to buy something and must sit on chairs and wear life jackets the whole time.

Amazingly the Shangri La Hotel recommended this restaurant for a anniversary meal. It was pretty down market with cramped tables, smokers everywhere, no air conditioning. The whole place was however packed. The reason was presumably the location - opposite a lovely lake (though not visible from the restaurant), the deliciousness and authentic food, the very reasonable price and the cooking... More
