Staff was fabulous, just enough variety and dinner outside close to the water was just the right place after a long day!

The best about the restaurant is the location. There is a minimum of food charges which you have to exceed to be served. We had pesto pasta and risotto with seafood. The pesto seemed to be from a prepared tin or another prepared food receptangle. The green sauce on the bottom of the plate not only looked disgusting but also... More

In the park at the south side of the island you can do worse than to have a beer and a snack at Lucy's. The staff try hard and the wifi is free and the food is not bad - but the possition is great watching the local people enjoy the park and the view of the Pearl River. A... More

This is an old haunt for my family...who have lived in china for a very long time now and have visited several times. We just went back recently after 5 or so years of not visiting the area and not much has changed. Same old movie posters and license plates on the yellow walls. I like the unique feel of... More

After 10 days of Chinese food Lucy's was like finding a typical American diner in the heart of China. Our party consisted of 10 adults, 2 teenagers and 5 children but we were seated immediately. Excelent service and everyone was ready for some western food. Beautiful area and had a relaxing and enjoyable late lunch.

Some decent food and a cold beer are on offer here. The place is perfectly fine but has that oddly off-putting quality of service one seems to encounter so often in China. We were playing a board game with our dinner - but were informed, perfectly politely but insistently, that games were not permitted at Lucy's by the bored looking... More

We're in Guangzhou for an adoption and visited Lucy's after attending a church service on the island. The environment is very relaxing. We sat outside (which was great for our newly adopted daughter) and watched the boats drive by on the Pearl River. I ordered the club sandwich with French fries which was excellent! My wife ordered the sweet and... More

Lucy's in on the very pretty Shamian Island. It serves western and Chinese food and offers a nice selection of beers and other drinks. Prices are reasonable and everything works like its supposed to. For a traveller that spends lots of time in the chaos that is China, a place like Lucy's is just a wonderful, relaxing oasis in which... More
