I have to say I was a bit deterred by the design of the place, too pompous and just huge, with the floor almost empty, that however changed by the end of the day. Our friends took us there and we were happy they did, we tried many different foods, pastrami, mantas, meat and everything was delicious with a lovely... More

As the local (the Tatar on a nationality), visited many restaurants of the city I will tell you that on my taste here best of all prepare national Tatar dishes. In Tatar cuisine there are a lot of farinaceous dishes, here them perfectly prepare. Surely try "pelmeni for the groom" and tutyrma with rice (house sausage from an offal). For... More

First place to eat in Kazan had to be something this kitschy. On the one hand: Tasty food, average portions (which is fine), authentical cuisine. On the other: awful service, strange gipsy interior & exterior, expensive food for city like Kazan and .

The food was very tasty and various, also national cuisine was offered, however, the service could be better for this type of the restaurant.

A real Tatar cousine, charming atmosphere, magnificent architecture inside, service is extra-ordinary. You will be surprised with the variety of food. You will not want to leave the restaurant. Very speacial place for special moments.

Considering that my experience with service and food in DTK was mixed, I can't rate it higher than average, even though few things here were exceprtionally good. As I walked along Baumana Street, I didn’t notice a single person entering Dom Tatarskoj Kulinarii (DTK). Its posh large building looked like a governmental office – too solemn and pretentious to be... More

The food is delicious, though pretty expensive for Kazan (2300 rub - about 75 USD - for a dinner for two persons, including two beers). The service is a little basic, not of the high level - you will have to wait. From the other side, to be fair, it was told that we should wait for 50 minutes for... More

The worst service i have ever had, every one eating separately. Food was correct, but completely disconnected from prices. I live in moscow, have an experience of often poor service in Russia, but that one was really bad.

Although place called ‘house of Tatar kitchen’ strangely enough you see European selection of food. To our surprise we discovered that they have completely different menu, only in Tatar language. We manage to order but what the point? Interiors are good, but food is hmm… normal, not perfect. Menu price seemed to be above average.

The service is not fast at all, to be honest not even exactly friendly. The restaurant is huge and nice. The smokers part has windows on the street while the no smoking section has no windows at all. The food is not exciting at all . Well I wouldn't recommend it
