Very cool atmosphere

It is a very vintage looking place that makes you feel inside the house of a traditional Russian family. The food is good as well and the vodka great!

My wife and I had a delightful dinner. The restaurant is in a basement with soft light from the street level windows. The ambiance is dark and dank with arched ceilings. which fits the establishment perfectly. It seems a wonderful step back in time. They serve a free shot of vodka and on request provided traditional vegetables to nibble on.... More

the place is very nice and elegant, very well decorated. the atmosphere is very friendly and the food is tasty, fresh and traditional Russian. Service is very kind but slow. We had limited time and we had to push the staff to serve us quicker thqn they are used to.

This is a very nice place: you live for a dinner time in an old style home, with antiques and soft lighting, good food on a well appointed table and very kind staff. They speak a good English and offer vodka before your order. Not very expensive.

This is a very atmospheric restaurant, just across the Domina Prestige hotel, which serves touristic, however excellent russian cuisine. I had russian ravioli which were great and they served early, so it was perfectly convenient for the Mariinsky, just a 10 minutes walk away. recommended.

We had a great waiter and we were a large group. The food is OK but not spectacular and the restaurant is overpriced.

We went to this café (restaurant) for a late lunch and were not disappointed. It has a homely atmosphere and menus are available in English. We felt that this restaurant provided good Russian food, served by friendly staff. It was a bit like a household kitchen, which was staffed by a professional chef. Without our guide, we would never have... More

We went here on the advice of our hotel staff. The ambience is old time, funky - with a number of small low ceilinged rooms. But while the food was fine, my husband's dish came so cool that we had to ask for it to be warmed up. The wine was ok, and the beer unremarkable. It was expensive for... More

We had a very nice, lively dinner at The Idiot. The service was quick and friendly, the meals were delicious, especially the soips and the salads. Although advertised as a vegetarian restaurant, there are some diages for meat lovers too. We recommend it for a visit.
