We went on a Saturday night when they have the jazz band (with singer) playing on stage. This is a beautiful restaurant in an even more beautiful hotel right off of Nevsky. My wife had the "egg in egg" caviar. It was my special gift to my wife. I had a couple of bites, but am not a caviar fan.... More

This was on our list for dinner, but ate breakfast there twice and decided to go somewhere else for dinner. The food at breakfast was made to order, hot buffet, cold buffet, champagne, juices, smoked salmon, etc. This was a cornucopia of breakfast food. What an impressive display. The fantastic food was only exceeded by the beautiful venue. It is... More

This restaurant is like something out of a movie. The interior is like travelling back in time and the live music adds to the atmosphere. The food was great as well and the service impeccable. Highly recommended and found that it was not too expensive compared to similar restaurants in other cities like New York, Paris or London. I also... More

This is a restaurant that kept me thinking about life in the 1900s with its Art Nouveau grandeur. The beautiful and large dining room on our night had only 9 tables setup. We were about 10 feet away from the other tables. Menus and wine lists were given immediately after we sat down, along with stools for our belongings. After... More

First, this is not especially pricey restaurant, only if you have never eaten in a gourmet restaurant. 6 course menu costs 4700 RUR. Wine list is extensive, from the range of 3000 to over 100000 RUR. Second, at least Tchaikovsky night is all touristic. There is well-playing quintet, a ballet-pair and soprano with tenor, but it appeared that Verdi's La... More

Fantastic service and meal at the L'Europe. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel gave us special recognition of this. They have a good jazz band on a Sat night.

[Went on Tchaikovsky night (fridays), so that needs to be taken into account.] Wow. Just, pretty much, wow. Firstly, this is not a cheap experience. This is close to the most expensive restaurant we've been to, so everything needs to be framed around that. That said, it was pretty much worth every penny. Where to start... Firstly, the venue is...
