Wonderful atmosphere. Live music with piano and sax. Had the 3-course price fixe menu, including 3 wine pairings, that actually turned out to be 5 courses. Starter from chef was cup of mushroom soup - yummy! Then the egg with cavier appetizer that we ordered. Followed by cucumber sorbet from chef. We ordered stroganoff. Dessert from tray - layered almond... More

Not cheap, but worth it. They have a great degustation menu with egg in egg, beef stroganoff (the original recipe) and napoleonska cake including wine for approx. EUR 65. Great on Fridays when the have Tchaikowski night especially if you are not going to see a ballet or concert anyway.

Impossible to be in St Petersburg and not going to this famous and traditional hotel to taste the Russian caviar. The service is excelent. Our waiter ( in fact he introduced himself as a vodka sommelier), spoke good English, not so common in Russia, and gave is a lecture on caviar types and matching Russian vodkas. Not cheap at all.... Booked for partners birthday and opted for the Degustation menu. Given the 8 courses (6 are listed but they throw in an Amuse Bouche and Sorbet) it was actually pretty good value and the portions are big. Found the Sommelier and Maitre d' suprisingly affable for such a venue and needless to say spoke perfect English. Lovely Art Noveau decoration... More

As with the Belmonde Grand Hotel Europe in which is resides, the standards are impeccable and it is surprising that such a gorgeous, exclusive place still exists. The food, service, wines and ambiance are excellent.

According to our guide in St. Petersburg, this is the restaurant of the most expensive hotel in St. P—Grand Hotel Europa. This in a city with no shortage of expensive hotels. So we were initially expecting something expensive, trendy, and not-worth-the-money, but TA reviews disagreed and recommended it. In two weeks of traipsing around Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and St.... More

The food is really good, wide selection of Russian food, and for this restaurant I choose the Degustation Menu wich was very good, quite expensive but at least you have the opportunity to taste a selection of the finest dishes. The service is very slow, so be patient, waiters are nice but it seems thats the way they work. The... More

We went on a Saturday night when they have the jazz band (with singer) playing on stage. This is a beautiful restaurant in an even more beautiful hotel right off of Nevsky. My wife had the "egg in egg" caviar. It was my special gift to my wife. I had a couple of bites, but am not a caviar fan.... More

This was on our list for dinner, but ate breakfast there twice and decided to go somewhere else for dinner. The food at breakfast was made to order, hot buffet, cold buffet, champagne, juices, smoked salmon, etc. This was a cornucopia of breakfast food. What an impressive display. The fantastic food was only exceeded by the beautiful venue. It is... More
