Russian home cooked food

Every time I visit st. Petersburg, I bring my guests here with me. The food is excellent; it feels like your mom or grandmothers cooked your meal. Our waiter, Yuriy, made us feel like we came to his personal home - hospitable, friendly and offered great advice. Pike kotlets were delicious. The... read more

As soon as we arrived we were placed in a table for 8 persons fully prepared and we felt very uncomfortable because it was too big. We asked for being... More

Central city convenience and old world charm with smartly dressed waitrons and a menu rich in variety make this restaurant a very smart choice. Most tables are huge and sit many people (groups) but we were 3 and were placed at a smaller table. The restaurant is very busy and booking is a good idea to prevent disappointment. A separate... The restaurant is part of the vodka museum. on the menu are about 100 different vodkas: ranging from classic to horseradish and honey. the food menu carries many starters and small plates and you can also order half portions. so you can try unusual things like the many fish dishes, and dare to try the fried bone marrow on toast... the tourist who likes russian cooking and traditional russian dishes. Comparing to other Russian restaurants, the service is good, the customers (local and international) are happy, vodka prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Prices are comfortable to western tourists. So, if you are for beef stroganof, bone marrow on black russian bread, veal cutlets, pork in aspic, cabbage... More

Stay away fro this place. It was recommended to us by the W hotel where we were staying and some ratings. Although we had a reservation we were given a table in the room next to the main room where there was live music. Worst part came when I ordered the chicken Kiev which was supposed to come with crisps.... More
