I am not into drinking vodka, but this place is supposed to have the best collection of vodka in the city (they even have a small museum), service was ok and the foos was nice.

We are here on the recommendation of our private guide as a place that Russians would go to for authentic food. It's not cheap by Russian standards but very reasonable for westerners with hard currency-about usd60 for four people including drinks! The menu seems to draw inspiration from across a broad spectrum of Russia and is quite lengthy. We settled... More

Superb restaurant in the Russia tradition. Live music (not loud at all so you still can discuss) which is so nice that we thought it was a CD being played. Only when we left the restaurant we saw the guitarist and the singer :-) They serve all traditional Russian dishes along with nice Vodkas. The staff is super helpful. A... More

Food was a little uninspiring and stodgy. My Russian friends seemed happy enough but there's better along the road on Konnogvardeiskiy Blvd,

Whenever my foreign guests ask me to take them to a restaurant with typical and traditional Russian food - I often take them to that wonderful place and always everybody is happy! Not only the food is wonderful, but also they have an interesting museum of Russian Vodka which one can visit either with an English speaking guide or with... More

Also known as the Russian VodkaRoom No1, it is co-located with the Russian Vodka Museum in the same building. Down home real authentic Russian dishes that your grandmother would have made. They have two dining rooms, one casual and one formal. We chose the casual dining room and were given a list of what seemed to be hundreds of vodkas... More

This restaurant is located in the city center, close to the Isaac Cathedrale. It is very cozy, friendly and helpful staff. Very nice food is served, inluding goid house wine. Prices are ok, not very low. We will eat here more than once.

A tour guide had recommended this restaurant for its original Russian cuisine and also for the accordion toting musician gently singing Russian folk songs. The restaurant itself is very hard to miss with its huge neon sign and lights out front. Once inside you will find that the restaurant is divided into two parts, the dining room on the left... More
