Came as part of a Princess Tour Group

Tourist restaurant with very friendly staff & good service. We went as part of a large, organized tour group. Seems to cater to tourists. Great location. Lots of food & drink. Loved the atmosphere. No idea on cost.

A pleasant walk passed St Isaac's Cathedral led us to this charming restaurant. We were quickly seated in one of the two dining rooms and our charming waiter quickly introduced us to a preprandial vodka. The place is obviously very popular with the locals as we were the only foreigners there. This suggested that things were good here and that... More

Lovely atmosphere with a traditional décor. We were three and went late after the opera at the Mariinsky. There wasn't time for a full meal, so we restricted ourselves to vodka, caviar and traditional vodka pickles etc. The singers were starting to pack up which was a shame as they added hugely to the atmosphere. I suspect that the food... More

I was here with a big group of people, and we ordered lots of food. We had dumplings (pelmeni), buckwheat, borsht, beef stroganoff, chicken Kiev, lots of great snacks (zakuski). All the food was great! My tourists were really impressed. We loved the way the food was served. For example, our tea was served with different sweets made at the... More

One of our local guides recommended this restaurant, and we decided to go for our "farewell to St. Petersburg" dinner. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious, especially the beef stroganoff, great selection of Vodka and Wines. Service was very attentive and the prices were quite reasonable.

I had a great evening at this restaurant. The place is decorated like somewhere from the 1950's, and the waiters are all dressed up. The food was all really nice, I had a lovely beef stroganoff. There is a huge vodka list and the shots are reasonably priced. I also got very nice Russian beer on tap which was very... More

As a visitor from the UK, I am glad when I am in a restaurant which makes me feel like I am in a different country; but this one also made me feel like I was in a different half of the century. It was a lovely surprise, with someone gently singing, art-nouveau menus and dance cards on the walls,... More

I feel so lucky that I found this restaurant. Thanks to other trip advisors. It is just amazing! I tasted very delicious and delicate Russian food, and a few shots of fantastic vodka. The service is perfect, and the indoor environment is just so cozy and comfortable. Spend about 1500 rubs for a whole meal from appetizer to dessert and... More

We very seldom return to the same restaurant when abroad especially when we are on a short weekend trip, but we did it this time. The vodka selection in itself would have been enough. 189 ( if we counted right) different kind...The food was excellent, the service too. I highly recommend the small pankakes with salmon caviar as a starter.... More
