Being in St petersburg had to have Borsch and Beef Stroganoff named after its famous inhabitant. Very tasty and large servings. Attentive service with copious tastings of various vodkas. Restaurant also has a small area dedicated to the history of Vodka.

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation from trusted friends, and were not disappointed. It's often difficult to make a restaurant choice in an unfamiliar city when there are so many tourist traps and places which are in all the guide books but do not live up to their reputation. Here is the exception. The ambience, atmosphere, food , service... More

First time here. Vodka in Russia is always good in different places, but here you are also in the historic building with the superb Russian dishes and very attentive service. Big winner!

We ate here on Sunday June 22 - a family (Russian and English) meal for six adults. We enjoyed an excellent meal here four years ago and we were not disappointed this time. The setting is very good and the location close to St Isaac's Cathedral. The restaurant has a very good atmosphere which was added to by the folk... More

Very good Russian cuisine. Russian salads are amazing and the choice of vodka is overwhelming..). Service is impeccable. The price, while not cheap by Russian standards is very affordable for the Western visitors.

The Russian vodka room and the adjoining sister Russian vodka museum (it really is a bar) is a class of their own. We went twice for lunch and both times trying different Russian food we were surprised very pleasantly. The vodka museum advertises that they have 200 kinds of vodkas. I did not count them, but they really have a... More

The food was excellent traditional russian food. I had the beef stroganoff which was very tender, my friend had the pastry filled with fish and said it was delicious. There is an amazing vodka menu and the decor was great. Staff were friendly and there was a trio playing russian music which really helped add to the atmosphere. I would... More

Live Russian guitarist & accordion band, borsch, herring, potatoes, and 420 options of vodka. What more could you want to experience Russian culture! Good value too. If you have only a short time to spend in St Pete, this place ticks a lot of boxes & in style. Recommend!

This restaurant was only a couple blocks from our hotel and we stopped here on our first night in the city. The 200 different types of vodka were certainly fun to look over, and the ones the waiter recommended were enjoyable. There was even a live Russian band playing in the background which added to the experience.

Looks like it is very popular by hordes of foreign tourists, as a "Typical Russian" "XIX century true experience" restaurant, that only lacked giant stuffed bears holding the silver trays at the entrance. I am not a big fan of such entourage, as well Russian places with loud live singing gypsy romances usually scare me away. Place is packed on... More
