Fabulous decor, good food and entertainment.

This place is decorated like you might imagine Uzbekistan to look like. We arrived late having been to a show in the Bolshoi. I thought it was nearer the Bolshoi than it is but it is still an easy walk. Unfortunately when we got there late the options from the kitchen were limited - but at... read more

We do like Novikov's restaurants. Uzbekistan is one of them. Made booking online. Long time we were looking what table I book. 3 people were saying 3 different numbers. We have got one, finally. Big menu. One would expect more help from waters if menu is specific and so big. It was very moderate help, to say it least. Food?... More

Having been born in Uzbekistan, I've been craving some authentic home dishes. This restaurant went above and beyond. The decor, atmosphere, and attention to detail was excellent; it made me feel right at home. Everything that I ordered was perfect (samsa, plov, lula shashlik, manti, horsemeat, lepeshka, salad Tashkent, achuchuk). Would definitely come here again and again.

I have passed this restaurant several times over the last two years and intention to visit it. My wife have and have been very pleased, so last Sunday our turn together. An interesting varied menu focusing on Usbekistan dishes, but had a well varied Pan Asian menu. We went for a combination of starters and main courses to share. We... More

Must confess we were attracted by the fact that this restaurant was within walking distance from our hotel and by the belly dance. The interior and decor seems to be very realistic to us (unfortunately we have never been in Uzbekistan) but some kind of too fake, like many things we saw in Moscow. The menù has too many similar... We booked a table yesterday (20.01.2015) and went to the restaurant. Once arrived we left our coat and followed the waiter to our table. We sat got the menu and then the waiter told us that the restaurant accepts only CASH (big logo at the entrance with AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD though). We told him that unfortunately we did not have... We were recommended to visit this restaurant. It did not start good with a waitress that was very angry/rude. We managed to order by pointing and she confirmed. The starter of 10 prawns was ok, but then we were served the main course. I was really surprised that we just got 2xfour sticks of meat... No vegetables and nothing else.... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
