Restaurant with a history

Cafe Pushkin is definitely one of the restaurants to visit when in Moscow. There is a lot of history to the place as well as its conception. It was just an imaginary place in the mind of a French singer Gilbert and it was much later made into reality. The service as well as the food is excellent... read more

Staff are excellent! Food is very good. The ambience is worth the visit. Fantastic art, old school lift with great vintage seating and lights Beautiful building! Worth the dinner just to experience of enjoying the ambience.

This place is very cool. It's like jumping back in time to the 1800s for lunch. I stress lunch as I'm the evening's it gets very expensive. If you want a really great value, tasty lunch in what I would call a very fancy place, I'd recommend this highly. If you want to splash some serious cash and dine with... More

Amazing service. We had the business lunch which is affordable luxury. The presentation of dishes was immaculate. The stroganoff was delicious, the chicken noodle soup was less impressive with cuts of cheap meat and offal in it. Desserts were amazing! I had the pistachio creme brulee with cherries. The waiter sets fire to it at the table to caramelize the... More

Upstairs at Cafe Pushkin is absolutely stunning and far warmer, cosier and nicer than downstairs. Although note prices on the menu seem to be slightly higher upstairs than down! The food was really good quality, delicious, well-presented and good portion sizes. It does seem to be the only restaurant we visited where prices had been raised to match the collapse... More

We went for the business lunch recommended on some of the other reviews. The latest we could book was 15.30 which gives lots of scope for a late lunch. To begin with , the building is beautiful and when you go inside you step back in time. Back to the early 1800.the decor is olde world and creates a wonderful... More

Enjoyable and atmospheric. Try the lift! Good choice of food and wine. Amiable and dedicated service. The sort of place where you half expect Anna Karenina to come floating in. Would have been expensive had it not been for the fall in value of the rouble against the pound. Must book.

If in Moscow, look this restaurant out. It has real character inside and the staff are very helpful. Price is a bit higher, but worth the experience of a visit just to say you have been. Food is different, but more in character than a lot of the new restaurants serving European food.

Very nice food. Previous century atmosphere. Very good service and excellent food. It is a bit expensive though especially if you decide to have wine.

Very historical place, not cheap but, it worths every penny you spent. Especially the boeuf stroganoff was delicious. The restaurant serves local people as well as tourists. One of the must see places if you were visiting Moscow.
