All of our friends warned us that food in Moscow would be as drab as the government buildings. They were wrong. We had god food, good drinks (wine not vodka, well also vodka). After dessert we were given a tour of the building -- very interesting.

I was in Moscow and walked from Arafat street to the Cafe Pushkin. As we arrived the doormen greeted us and warmly welcomed us inside. As you walk in the beauty of the architecture catches your eye. The service was simply outstanding. The presentation of my foie gras was simply divine. The duck as well was very well presented. A... More

Pushkin's is a lovely replica of a an aristocrat's house from the 1800s. Great ambiance! It is visited by local business men, diplomats, bankers and tourists.Yes- it is a little pricey- but the food is well worth the price, and the service is excellent.the food is Russian/French, and everything is prepared with an unusual twist- the roasted pig was excellent.... There are no Russians there. Tourist trap, but not cheesy. Excellent service. Usual tourist tricks-no cheap vodka or wine, only expensive staff is available. Needless to say it is very expensive. Food is good, tasty and well served. Overall: yes, if you have a lot of money, and no for anyone with the common sense.

This was the best restaurant on our trip to Russia! A group of five went for dinner and everything we ordered was delicious. The location is magnificent, even the bathrooms! I really recommend this place for a marvelous dinner. It is expensive, but worthy!

It transpires that the Cafe Pushkin has live music (a string quartet) on Sundays and Mondays, it turned and great night out for our table of 5 into a night to remember. Sergei (waiter) was attentive, the food superb and the ambience excellent. Try the Russian Digestion (main course that's ideal for Atkins dieters) Families overall favourite restaurant experience.

Arguably, a tourist and expense account destination, but who cares? Well worth a visit for excellent Russian fare and a great atmosphere in a gracious reconstruction of a Moscow mansion. It offers a glimpse of a bygone era and makes for a most enjoyable dinner venue!
