Cafe Pushkin never disappoints. Customer service is great, especially on the Library floor. Food is still up to par. Decor is very niceEnjoyed it again this past month and couldn't believe the've only gotten better! Hope to take all of my international friends there one day)))

My husband and two friends are travelling in Moscow from Australia. I was a little reluctant to go to Cafe Pushkin, as like Procope in Paris, I imagined a beautiful setting with average food and service. I was mostly correct. However in saying that, our table on the second floor in the library could not have been better. Unfortunately the... More

While the ground floor is decorated like a french Bistro (meaning quick in Russian), I would definitively recommend you to book a table in the Library on the 2nd floor. If you have read the experience of other traveler you know that the food, wine and environement is very good but what makes the difference for me is that Café... More

Since it was highly recommended by reviews and personal friends, we expected some real fine dinning. But Cafe Pushkin turned out to be more touristy than refined. The fake 1800 aristocrat mansion is charming enough, with a fake library on the second floor where guests can dine with live music serenading in between the bookshelves. We were seated at the... I had a very good meal at Cafe Pushkin in Moscow. Price was ok (I thought it was more expensive reading the reviews here (was not any more than I had payed in different places of Moscow) but it is really a place full of tourists. It has the same atmosphere of Cafe Tortoni in Buenos Aires, Argentina (a must... More

The café's walls are faked, the library is faked, but still the atmosphere is a wonderful one, especially at night. Menu offers a very good variety of russian specialities, and a gorgeous wine list. Everything is very well done, especially desserts (I suggest to try Napoleon's piramide, ask the waiters). I suggest the small terrace at night and for people... More

Its hard to believe that this place is actually a replica of the original house which was destroyed during Stalins era ! Many reviewers have commented on it being expensive ,we had luncjh there on our last day in Moscow and it really wasnt any mnore than we had payed in other places during our stay !. The staff or... Housed in an ornately decorated mansion, the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous and very authentically Russian. Unfortunately, the quality of food and service leaves a bit to be desired. Although the restaurant clearly caters to tourists, our server was unwilling to make any recommendations or give his opinion about any dishes. When asked how certain things were, he just shrugged... Best place in Moskow to experience 'the' Russian cuisine. Reasonably priced. Do expect a refined kitchen at this renowned restaurant. It is good, but not great. Try do get a table at the second floor. First floor is rather touristic.
