This restaurant was recommended to us and we decided to pop in to have quick lunch. We were dressed in the usual tourist uniform and felt decidedly underdressed when we were shown to our table. They even offer little stools for ladies handbags. This is more of a old-wordly formal restaurant and on the pricey side. They do have a... More

We visit Pushkin several times a year. While most of Moscow restorans cange cousine, taste of dishes etc, Pushkin remains the same through years. This is the only place we know to taste pie with zander (визига) and it worth to taste. If you would like to taste Russian cousine (and you would like to have tasty dishes) for sure... More

We have been to Cafe Pushkin at around midnight as a couple. We ordered borscht, juice "fall", tea, kvas, mors and dumplings. Everything was ok and the ambience and music was like from early 19th century. Dumplings were tasty but it came after 1 hour because our waitress Polina was high. The worst thing she didnt bring the plate, another... More

Please, don't go to this place. don't bring your money to wrongdoers! On that very place there was an 18-th century estate with unexplored fragments of an early epoch. The restaurant's owners received the complex of 6 partly restored buildings from Moscow goverment instead of the Union of Moscow's artists (although the papers were already signed). Officially the museum of... More

The food was fabulous and the service was great. Can get a range of Russian food so plenty of options. About 20 mins walk from Red Square. Would go there again as we liked the food.

We went here as it was close to the hotel, but what a find !. From the moment you enter it is like going back to a bygone era. The room looks amazing, and the inviting. It was an old chemist shop, but looks like something from before the revolution. Staff are fantastic, great service, informed and friendly. The choice... More

For Foreigners, Cafe Pushkin should not be missed. Although it is not as old as it looks, it reverently favors Russia's past, and will put all in the mind of a time gone by. Ask for a table on the second floor for dinner. For breakfast, a table on the first floor is just fine. Ask the waiter to tell... More

We walked in for lunch on a Saturday in August and it was not busy. Our waiter was personable Maxim who spoke very good English and was attentive and helpful. The seasonal watermelon cocktails were very good. The menu was in English and French, but the interpretation of the food was not accurate. Our starters of a mushroom dish and... More

Second time to come to this Moscow institution, this time on the ground floor. More touristy and casual feel there then the upper floors, which I actually prefer. Food was as good as always, totally classic, loved the caviar and blinis, the grilled fish was excellent, so was the caramel dessert. Service was better on the upper floor too. Some... More

My Moscow tour guide took me for a business lunch menu at Café Pushkin. It was a great experience, excellent food at a reasonable price for a high class restaurant. If I go back to Moscow I will go back again.
