Great place with great food

Cafe Pushkin appears to date from the 19th century, but in reality its a modern interior made to look old. This in no way detracts from the experience, however. Had heard so much about Café Pushkin that had to go. Asked for the typical: Beef Strogonoff. Nothing special! The waiter was too busy with many tables at once. Poor service. Very expensive for what you get. Had much better meals at nicer places in Moscow. Avoid it!!!

There is nothing more traditional in Moscow (or Russia) than this. Busy place with very professional staff. Delicious Russian specials incl. the famous chanterelle (mushroom) soup. Reservation always necessary.

It was one of the best experience in Moscow. Food is amazing, I ordered beef stroganoff, no disappointed. Staffs are very very well trained and speak English fluently and willing to help if you don't know what to eat or clearly explain what exactly you have ordered. I will surely come back and will recommend this place to everyone. I... More

We had a wonderful meal at Cafe Pushkin - the service was fantastic, the setting was beautiful, and our food was delicious. Definitely get the beluga and blinis, and I highly recommend the chateaubriand. The wine is a bit pricey, but it's the same across Moscow. That said, the sommelier recommended a terrific red that didn't break the bank.

Charming, beautiful, out of time. The dinner at the Cafè Pushkin was a fantastic experience! I ha very tipical Russian dishes (i was told they made a fantastic olivier salad and and an amazing beef stroganoff) that were tasty and delicious, nice presented. The waiters are so gentle, the low lights and the music, everything contribute to a very special... More

If you are looking for authentic Russian Cuisine, Pushkin is as good a choice as any and I am told better than most. Although there are wait staff with a comprehension of English, it would be a benefit to have a Russian speaker in the party. Our hostess did the choosing for us along the lines of our declared tastes.... More

Traditional Russian cuisine of high quality. Borsch is amazing for my local taste. It is really expensive and always full (usually mostly with foreigners), so you need to book. It is more entertaining for Russian speakers, because waiters can tell stories about different dishes. During my recent visit there was live music of harp and cello.

This well-known Moscow destination has a cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant on the 1st and 2nd floors. When booking, don't forget that the 1st floor is in Russia known as the 2nd Floor (etc.) or you could end up with a table in the wrong part of the enterprise. The restaurant is really stunningly decorated in late... More
