French cuisine with a russian twist in Moscow

Moscow June 2015. Restaurant Jean-Jacque - "Jan-Jak" in russian - in the ground-floor of Hotel Circus near Metro Station Tsvetnoy Boulevard on the Grey Line. Cafe «Jean-Jacques» is a favorite place for city's «intelligentsia»: artists, writers, journalists, photographers and wannabes. Always loud and busy, better book a table in advance.

Good french food, but asparagus was not as testy as i thought. Good french music is a plus. There are papers on tables where you can draw while waiting for dinner.

A nice place to have a meal. Very reasonable priced for Moscow . The atmosphere is almost French as the food is. Try it I would say.

Nice place - reasonably priced - but so smokey it is uncomfortable. Even by Moscow standards this place is awful. Too bad - because otherwise it's ok

Simple French fare, done well and in a cozy atmosphere. By Moscow standards it's very reasonable. Will return soon, but fair warning, smoking is allowed.

Have been in two of their restaurants and both are great. I love that one which not far from metro " Kuznetskiy Most" next to Staleshnikovskiy per. Staff are always smily and happy to see you there. Great french food. Drinks are good too.

Lovely food and varied choice of menu. Good price in what can be an expensive city. Very pleasant staff.
