Full of bright young people. Good food, although like Moscow not cheap ( superb hamburger with fires £18). Wine at £40 per bottle - stick to beer!
I had the whole sea bass and it was perfectly cooked. The upper deck overlooks the Moscow River. Strelka is pricey, hard to find, and well worth the effort and cost. Great for getting together with friends, and to take foreigners to.
A beautiful 'trendy' setting on the embankment full of young, local professionals. The service was quick and friendly, considering the sheer number of people who needed to be served. The food was beautifully cooked but the portions are pretty small, almost appetiser sized - the atmosphere made up for this - a worthwhile experience particularly if you like to people... More
Great trendy place to end an evening overlooking the river. We were given excellent service. The food was good (although not in the outstanding category) and fairly (but not cheaply) priced for somewhere with good views in the centre of Moscow. Five stars given for overall experience rather than purely culinary standard.
Very cosy place with tasty cocktails. I have not try meal but I believe that it qualify all high standards. The location of the place is a quite special - it's not so easy to find out how to come at the evening and it's dark. Then it's just to pass by face control (good luck) and you are at... More
Fantastic place to eat - really cool when it's sunny to sit upstairs and look out over the river and beyond! You get the feeling that everyone eating and drinking there is very well off - mostly Moscovites! I was expecting great things from the food as we had done our research and everyone raves about it but I was... More
On an island near a former chocolate factory which is now a trendy hub for bars, restaurants and galleries called Red October. Strelka is near the pedestrian bridge - at an arts centre - so easily accessible. It has a wonderful roof-top location with stunning views over the river and to the nearby cathedral. And very comfy sofa-style chairs. The... More
This lively bar and outdoor rooftop restaurant is situated in the Red October Area, with a view of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and other buildings along the canal embankment (illuminated, if you're there LATE, when the long Summer days end). We tried their creative drinks - a Moscow Beauty, Strelka 'Lemonade', Saserach - and enjoyed them all. The... More
We were recommended this restaurant by an acquaintance and we were not disappointed. We went there on a Saturday evening and arrived at around 21:00 without having reserved a table. We didn't have Russian SIM cards, so we couldn't leave our phone numbers for them to call if there was an opening. The maitre d' asked if we would mind... More
