We booked a table at 7:30pm and arrived on time. Since there was a private functions downstairs, no one attending us, so we patiently wait and reading the menu. After 30 minutes, a waiter came to serve us but cannot speak English, then he served another table which came after us, but those guests left the table immediately after talked... More

All good except asked for help getting a taxi back to hotel from staff. Could not help / so a long walk late at night. My tip for foreigners is to make sure you arrange your transport in advance or do not go.

Really pleasant dining experience here last week. The interior of the restaurant, split over two levels, is very elegant. Like a dining room in a sophisticated house. The location is good by a rectangular lake that was frozen when I visited. Food was Russian and tasty and the vodka was good. Service excellent. Not cheap, but worth it. Would recommend.

Food tends to traditional Russian dishes. Service is excellent. The berry infused vodka is exceptional but can sneak up on you. Pavilion overlooks Patriarch's Park with skating on the pond in Winter. The view is a great respite from the gray of Moscow.

We had a lovely evening is this wonderfully position restaurant. The view of the lake with swans in the heart of Moscow was really cool. The waiters were discreet and attentive. I had the beetroot with mackerel to start and it was so creamy and light. To follow the local beetroot soup, Borsch I think its called, (tasted like homemade... More

Staff were excellent, and the setting is great with a lovely over the small lake. I would like to return in Winter and skate there too. The food is very Russian, excellent quality, and, surprisingly, not expensive.

We had a delightful meal at the Pavilion restaurant in Moscow, to which we were invited by the parents of a Russian exchange student we had hosted and who had hosted our son in Moscow many years earlier. The restaurant has a wonderful setting overlook Patriarch's Pond, is a very attractive building and is furnishing with Soviet era objects and... More

If it is a nice day during the summer, it's hard to beat a table overlooking Patriarch's Pond. There are few places in Moscow that are better to enjoy a drink with friends. But the food is only average, and is not cheap for the quality, and the service can be anywhere between okay and awful.

This is an unusual Moscow restaurant. They exactly follow Soviet public owned restaurant operating rules...so from this angle it may sound scary...i would say don't be biased... First of all location is great. Restaurant is next to a lake park. They bring menu which is written Soviet typewriting style. But they are expat friendly Soviets. You can have English menu... More

Went there for a business dinner and thought it was great. The staff was fine ( again, don't expect an english - this is Rusia). The food was good, not too expensive by Moscow standards but not a deal. Interesting menu, although they did not have my first choice of goulash. Atmosphere felt a little hollow. We sat in the...
