When have older folks visiting, take them here for dinner. Seat by the window to get great view of the pond. Best wild mushrooms soup I ever had - great with vodka in winter. Nice presentation, OK wine list. Music can be weird - they play nostalgic Soviet tunes. Crowd is a mix of an occasional hipster, some family celebrating... More

Despite the reasonable (but pricey) food, we had a very strange experience here. Not only did they forget to bring my starter, but they refused to take it of the bill in the end. The horrible dinner music (think loud MIDIs) also didn't help. Location is very nice though.

Really good Russian food for my opinion I think the price is little excessive but we paid for all. With nice environment, the personal are really nice and take care of you. They serve everything even bread with butter like in france. It's restaurant we do for special occasion.

The restaurant is located in a residential area, just by a beautiful small lake. Inside you can admire the classy elegance and on top of that enjoy the phenomenal food and great service. I had my Borscht soup and Beef Stroganoff. Both were made to perfection! I will be back for sure!

The restaurant is located directly on the Patriarshiy Ponds. A nice location inside and outside for coffee, lunch, dinners, and receptions of any kind. The interior is cozy, set in a Russian style from the turn of the century. The service is very friendly and helpful and some staff speak English very well. The food selection offers many traditional Russian... More

We booked a table at 7:30pm and arrived on time. Since there was a private functions downstairs, no one attending us, so we patiently wait and reading the menu. After 30 minutes, a waiter came to serve us but cannot speak English, then he served another table which came after us, but those guests left the table immediately after talked... More

All good except asked for help getting a taxi back to hotel from staff. Could not help / so a long walk late at night. My tip for foreigners is to make sure you arrange your transport in advance or do not go.

Russian food in a beautiful setting overlooking a pond. The borscht with duck was delicious. Beef stroganoff had a nice sauce and the veal was solid. Kind people at every turn, along with live music made it a nice evening.

Really pleasant dining experience here last week. The interior of the restaurant, split over two levels, is very elegant. Like a dining room in a sophisticated house. The location is good by a rectangular lake that was frozen when I visited. Food was Russian and tasty and the vodka was good. Service excellent. Not cheap, but worth it. Would recommend.
