We had dinner at this restaurant on our recent trip to Moscow. We each had a 3 course meal, pre-dinner drink and a glass of wine, and it came to 7,000 Russian roubles. Whilst it might seem a bit expensive, the food was fresh and well prepared, well presented and was a delightful restaurant to spend some relaxing time in... More

We walked by this restaurant and took a chance. What a find! We were warmly welcomed and immediately served tea. For a minute, we thought we were in Istanbul! The menu is primarily Azerbaijani, and my wife and I each tried a different lamb entree. The food was full of flavor and very fresh. The service was outstanding with our... More

Great location with good service and high quality food! A must in Moscow! We had tipical russian starters and meat for the main dish. Take care the waiter expect ten percent of the bill as tip doesn't matter if you had 500 or 5000 rub invoice. For germans not usual.

We went here on a slow Sunday evening. It is not the first nor the laste time we go here. It is quit relaxed and well cooked food. Lam is good and the chicken also. I had a dish with both mint and ginger - quit tasty. The restaurant is part of the novikov group. Pleasant and nice and not... More

Barashka is a great place to get flavor of regional Azeri cuisine in Moscow. The food is delicious, menu is wide with a good choice of starters as well as chicken and meat grills. Atmosphere is very warm, service quality great. Suggested with friends and family..

Barashka, which serves Azeri food, is part of a chain of different restaurants. I went to the location at Novy Arbat with three colleagues. My rice with veal and dried fruits tasted terrific and was reasonably priced. My colleagues enjoyed everything they ordered as well. The atmosphere was lively and comfortable. We got along just fine in English. I'd return... More

The staff at the restaurant went the extra mile to help us to understand the menu so that we got what we wanted. The sturgeon and the lamb special were fantastic. This was the best restaurant we ate out at in Moscow

Nice and cozy, great salads as appetizers. Young and fashionable staff but quite nice. Caucasian Azerbaijan cuisine, good for a change

Since this was my first stab at Azerbaijani food, I relied on our waiter for recommendations. We were pleased with the complimentary hot Azeri tea with thyme, served with candied fruit. Lamb dolmas (gound meat in cabbage leaves) were nice. The warm lamb salad with parsley, cilantro, tomatoes and zucchini was exceptional. These two dishes were ample for two. The... More

This is one of my favorite places in Moscow. The food is consistently good, and (for a Novikov place) has fairly reasonable prices. The atmosphere is nice, even if the service is not always great, and the crowd occasionally a bit sketchy.
