Reasonably priced restaurant in Moscow

During the period of traveling in Russia, if you could find the restaurant named Mu-Mu with quite a reasonable price compared to the others, I would recommend that you need to visit there once at least. Especially, you can enjoy a diverse menu of breakfast from 8:00 AM.

You can have good dinner in this cafe if you are a budget tuorist and if you would like to taste russian meal in Moscow. There are a lot of restrants all over the city. Be carefuly, in hot dishes can be dry pork or ham, it is better to chose the one with sauces.

This chain of restaurants is self service but with a lot of people serving you from the other side of the counter. It gives you the chance to taste traditional Russian food you'll find in any typical home in Moscow. It's simple and serves very traditional homemade-type food. The only drawback is the language barrier, you simply point at whatever... More

Probably not THE best food in the whole city, but very nice to quickly grab something to eat. The food is nice and the people working there were very helpful. Of course, it's not the right place for a romantic dinner, but it's fun, cheap and tasty. I can recommend it.

Great selection of local foods. Pick the items you like and pay. Locations all over Moscow including the airport.

First trip to Moscow, and was concerned about being able to find inexpensive food. Had read about this place online and it ended up working out well. It's cafeteria-style, so you can see what you're getting before you choose, and you can just point (no Russian needed!). Some items were better than others, but everything was at least good. Free... The most visible location of the chain in Moscow and some other Russian cities. This one is rather big, but others may be even bigger. Food is not bad, the variety is OK. Alcohol is available. Costs are medium (for Moscow). Service is quick (if not a lunch time and not near the Metro station, like this one). Toilets are... More

This was my 2nd attempt in a Mu-Mu branch. The location on Arbat is very popular, so you will probably queue a few minutes. The staff only speaks Russian, but an English menu is available. Or point to what you want. There is hardly a chance you will break the bank, so take the chance to try something new! Recommended... More

The problem is that the staff don't speak english. I wanted to eat snitzel chicken, but the man gave me an other, more expensive food. By the way the soup was great and the berry drink also. It's relatively cheap, and if you are in Moscow, don't go to McDonalds if you could eat something normal food like here.

We were directed to Mu-Mu by our tour guide. If you want real "Russian" fast food this is the place. We grabbed our trays and proceeded through the line. Being unable to speak or read Russian we used the point and head nodding method of ordering our food. We had chicken soup, beet salad, sausage, and Chicken Kiev, Everything was... More

Staying in Khamovniki

Neighborhood Profile
Khamovniki
Khamovniki could be considered a city of its own – here it’s possible to find some of Moscow’s most important cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Novodevichy Convent and Trubetskikh Estate, great sport locations such as Luzhniki stadium and aqua complex, and long and beautiful Luzhniki embankment. Pick your preferred form of transport to explore the area – bicycle or river cruise during the summer and taxi in winter as many of the great places are situated beyond a short walk.
