There are many Akademia restaurants all over Moscow. There is one we love: it's by the Saviour Cathedral, just in front of it. We like it because the staff is friendly, the menu choice is quite good, with tasty salads and great desserts and also the tea selection is fine. They always try to be attective and come to the... Probably the only place where they can serve salad which is inedible. Fresh greens and a sauteed mushrooms with overdose of sodium. Very bad pasta. For the price they charged, they could have served at least one dish proper. I would definitely recommend anyone to go this place.

Definetely worth visiting, one of a good places on that street.. I had salad, coffee, and cake... it is a little bit expensive, but all locals in Moscow are expensive :)

Comfortable chairs in a great people-watching spot. About the only place on Kamergersky which doesn't have queues on a Friday night, probably because of the price. We ordered the Hawaii and the Spinach pizzas. Both were very tasty, very thin crust and generous toppings. Not cheap, but central. Good service.

Poor service. Bad risotto. We send it back and the staff did nothing to fix it, or replace it. Good pizza and caprese salad. Reasonable esplanade.

I've been several times in Academia and was always satisfied with food. Especially salads are delicious! The atmosphere is nice, staff polite. The place is a bit overpriced, that is only one minus. This place is almost always full, and is not very good for a romantic dinner. But is is perfect for lunch with friends!

Situated very close to Red Square this restaurant has fantastic service, helpful staff a reasonable western and Russian menu at sensible prices. The set breakfast offers are a very good deal. The food isn't amazing but it's hot and served all together, which in Moscow is a rare event.

I think this place gets lots of reviews due to the high amount of foreigners that frequent it. In general it's overpriced unless you're eating omelets in the morning or simple pasta in the evening. I've visited 4 times and twice had good servers, twice had awful service. Try it out for brunch or when you're in the mood for... More

While I'm not from Moscow, I had the feeling that I was surrounded by Muscovites that were just out hanging out with friends because the food was good, and not over the top. It's certainly not a fancy place (similar to a U.S. diner), but it seemed like good comfort food. I really liked the borscht!!
