the restaurant is really rundown: the furniture need to be refurbished, the toilet needs to be fixed, the air-conditioner in the private rooms need upgrading... The food is top quality but you pay the price for it. It is best to visit the restaurant at lunch time where you can have set menus for less than 500 Pesos. They offer... More

The food is unremarkable. Its typical japanese but not really a stand out. Expect food to be served in 45 minutes to even 1 hour. It is best to order some sashimi, sushi, or maki or else you will get frustrated waiting for your main course. They have renamed the restaurant as Ku-Kai, but their website is retained as Kaishu.

the placce was located close to the hotel I stayed at so I gave it a try with my friends. Food was ok, but overpriced and the furniture was completely worn out and really tacky. Certainly not in line with what you expect from a Japanese restauarnt

We walked out even before we had a chance to order. The place looks run down and dinggy. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived but it took so long to lead us to our table we had been seating for 10 minutes and no one bothered to give us a menu or ask for drinks at the least.... More

The food is good but every local guy knows it's way over priced. There are other Japanese restaurants just as good and less expensive. Kaishu is located out by some of the big hotel resorts, has easy parking and has a good looking interior. Private dining rooms are available so it's a good place to take your Yakuza boyfriend for...
