The restaurant made famous by Anthony Bourdain is indeed a must dine experience or can be taken home too via frozen goodies on sale at the pre-departure of the Mactan Airport.

We dropped by and never expected it to be that presentable and tasty. I loved the salted eggs with tomatoes and their stuffed squid that was grilled. It's not your regular restaurant. I feel they have more surprises in store but never advertised it as such. So get ready to be surprised.

Thank you for your wonderful comments (and surprise) regarding your meal at Zubuchon. While we are known for our lechon, what is less known is that as a company, we strive to source as many of our natural ingredients locally or from as close by as possible (hence the fresh crab meat from Bantayan, live shrimp from Moalboal, backyard raised... Cebu lechon or roast pig is one of the things that the province is famous for. When we went to Zubuchon for dinner, we had only one purpose and that was to try what celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain proclaimed to be the "best pig...ever!" There were two choices we considered for the roast pig---boneless and the "regular" which was what... More

Thank you for your visit to and review of Zubuchon. I am so glad you enjoyed the boneless lechon but apologize that the regular lechon had not arrived in time for your meal. Our lechons arrive at branches at roughly 11am for lunch, and 6pm for dinner and they are best enjoyed when still warm. We hope you will have... More

The restaurant is nice and clean but the food isn't that good. It lacks the real taste and tenderness of the lechon, it's dry to and not juicy. For authentic taste of Lechon Cebu try C & T near SM mall which is cheaper compared to the stalls inside sm & ayala malls. Zubuchon is a big disappointment!

Originally we wanted to try Lechon (crispy pork) at one of the 'CnT' restaurants. According to the locals, CnT is the place to go. However at 18:00pm the concierge at our hotel telephoned one of the CnT and they said all of their restaurants had already run out of Lechon for the day!! Concierge recommended 'Zubuchon'. We dined at the... More

It's our first time in Cebu and Zubuchon is a must try! We placed our order ahead and picked up 4 kgs of fresh lechon and 2 chicharon at the airport prior to our flight last Mar 30. Each kilo is pre-packed and costs 590.00 with a box that comes free for every 2 kilos, otherwise a box is charged... More

This was the first time I tried lechon, and I really enjoyed it. I was taken there by some cebuanas, who were keen to try it out for the first time. We had 500g lechon, a pork rib soup and some garlic rice between four. There was heaps left over. Not sure about the price or whether this is the... More

I liked that you didn't need sauce.Skin so crispy and yummy and meat flavourful too but since it's been a year since I last ate CNT, I can't seem to decide which I one I liked best.
