Description: We serve roast pig as the main dish, with nearly three dozen other Filipino dishes that are either based on roast pork, or complementary dishes. We have seafood, vegetables and fresh local fruit shakes. This is the pig that Chef and TV Host Anthony Bourdain declared as "The Best Pig, Ever!" on his No Reservations episode on the Philippines. This is right in the heart of Mango. There were 4 of us and none of us had any complaints. Great lechon (roast pig) with the crispiest skins I have had in Cebu. We also had 5 pork fried rice, squid stuffed with lechon (couldn't get enough), fried chili shrimp (really just sauteed) and smoked bangus fish salad (I really... More

As above I think the best pork i tasted on Cebu was at the above. The service was excellent and always helpful. The restaurant was clean and always fairly busy.Try their Lechon, for which they are rightfully famous, and dont forget to ask for the make your own pickle.I ate there on a number of occasions and was always very satisfied.

An amazing treat to those who live by the moment and experiencing "CHEAT DAY" (almost everyday)! You'll surely like the variety of sumptuous foods and refreshing beverages in their menu. A MUST TRY! I promise to definitely go back here very soon.

We had a late lunch here and while the staff were tidying up, they were still very attentive and patient (we couldn't decide which dishes to order since there were more than just the famous lechon!) The lechon was yummy, you could taste the herbs it was cooked with. The sizzling bangus was well cooked. Very tender and juicy. The... More

Had lunch here with my family last week. Ofcourse the lechon was the 1st thing we ordered but the buwad platter, pork sisig, and mongos soup were also amazing. My family enjoyed our lunch here plus the place is cozy with ample parking.

Our colleagues from Japan and Australia visited our office here in Cebu. We took them for lunch to let them taste and experience local food especially the famous lechon (aka roasted pig). We went to their branch in Mactan. Ambiance and Location - cozy, comfy, and quiet when we first came in at around 11:30AM. Soon after it was jam-packed... More

one thing I appreciate about Zubuchon is its accessibility. it is available at the pre departure area of the Cebu Mactan International Airport. In the midst of unusually scantily peopled area during the rage of typhoon Hagupit, only this place seem to be having a steady stream of people. I was disappointed to have missed it the night before because... More

Thank you for your repeated visits to Zubuchon. I will definitely have a word with our airport crew to ensure that the amount of sauce added to the lechon sandwich is moderated, as it is always easy to add more if a client requests it, but very hard to take it away if there is too much. The boneless lechon... More

Both the dinuguan and the lechon yielded weird tangy tanglad (lemon grass) and celery-like taste and after taste, weird because it has a bitter lemon/calamansi character specially in the meat which does not even go well with rice nor with the beer. I took out the remaining food and gave it to the beggar at the street corner in Cebu... More

We apologize that your meal was not to your liking and you were clearly unsatisfied with the experience. We do use lemongrass in our stuffing (most Cebuano lechons do) along with roughly 15 other herbs and spices. We do not use any MSG, which some clients look for, but we do add rosemary and thyme, two herbs that are uncommon... More

What a great place! We went in November (2014), so it was all decorated for Christmas! The food is so good, we all loved it! And we had so much fun, taking pictures in the restaurant!

Every time I entertain guest from Manila, I make it a point to bring them here. Not because of the dishes but the story behind it which makes the meals much more interesting. The man behind maybe finicky but interesting. He's dishes are all made from scratch, no Sinigang mix were used but all natural sampaloc seeds, the kare kare... More

Thank you for your kind and insightful words about our restaurants. Not many people (or at least a fraction only of our guests) know that the restaurant wasn't actually set up to make a profit initially -- it was targeting more employment generation at decent wages and benefits, offering honest old-fashioned and properly executed native dishes with perhaps some modern...
