First of all, it's hard NOT to remember the rather longish name. STK stands for the local dialect's term for grilled, sour soup, and pickled, a description of the type of food one can order in the restaurant. The ambience of this seafood house is unique. It's actually an old house with 1930s-1960s memorabilias and antiques. Their POS is even this old cash register. Their phones are the old ones with dials. Then the food. They serve authentic grilled Filipino dishes like the jaws of the tuna fish ("panga" in the local dialect) and innovative creations like curried crabs. Finally, the bill...US$7/head and you head out with a doggy bag! Good ambience, excellent food, and great value for money.

If you eat nowhere else in Cebu city, make an effort to go here and experience a highly unique dining delight. You are actually dining in what used to be a huge mansion and we were lead to our table through corridors and rooms. All around are second world war artefacts and an insight into the lives of the former... More

A short cab ride from the hotel, we enjoyed dinner here one night. It would be more fun to come with a big party, but it was just my husband and myself...and we ordered a lot of food, maybe too much! We loved the Crab Relleno in Black Pepper Sauce and the Hot/Spicy Calamares, but the Baked Scallops I read... More

Their food is not that special. We ordered sinigang na hipon, tuna panga, sisig, and another dish...The sisig was a bit soggy. What I love about the place are their antique decors. You can find them in all corners of the restaurant. From religious icons to bottles, lamps, chairs, and a lot more...

I am in love with this restaurant. With only one week of my Three week vacation in the Philippines I decided to give this restaurant a try after hearing local cab driver suggest it. I have had so many meals from too many places to name in the last two weeks. This restaurant was the BEST I have had on... More

I visited Paolito's with wife's family. I have no complaint about the food, it's a great seafood restaurant. The problem has to do with my credit card. I got the impression the lady at the cash swiped my card on a second reader behind her desk. I have no way of proving this but she had every opportunity as for... More

2nd time here and this was better than the last. The food was fantastic all round this time, not just the Tuna Jaw. Everything was nice. Great staff and friendly quick service. A nice surprise was a personal tour of the original restaurant by one of the owners. We had an explanation of how it started and the decor in... More

One of the best grilled panga in town! STK ta bai offers a wide variety of seafood dishes. We also tried their baked scallops, divine!

Food, service, decor, everything was great. This is a place where locals eat so the food is really good. I went her for lunch and it was already busy. However it didn't take long to wait for the food. I had spicy calamari and river spinach-absolutely beautiful. Definitely will go there again to try something else.

1. Tuna Belly stank so much, we couldn't go near it let alone put it in our mouth. 2. Girlfriend couldn't even look at it and wanted to leave because of the smell 3. Abysmal service. Waited 35 minutes for the bill and after asking three times, the approached us. 4. The one thing that 'saved' us from the stench... More
