STK ta bai! at Paolito's Seafood House

26 Orchid Street | Capitol Site, Cebu City, Philippines
Update restaurant details
Ranked #30 of 330 restaurants in Cebu City
Certificate of Excellence 2013
Cuisines: Filipino
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations, Late Night
Description: First of all, it's hard NOT to remember the rather longish name. STK stands for the local dialect's term for grilled, sour soup, and pickled, a description of the type of food one can order in the restaurant. The ambience of this seafood house is unique. It's actually an old house with 1930s-1960s memorabilias and antiques. Their POS is even this old cash register. Their phones are the old ones with dials. Then the food. They serve authentic grilled Filipino dishes like the jaws of the tuna fish ("panga" in the local dialect) and innovative creations like curried crabs. Finally, the bill...US$7/head and you head out with a doggy bag! Good ambience, excellent food, and great value for money.

We had a bad experience last March 21 2014 when me, my mom and her clients went to visit this "famous STK" downtown. BTW this is my second visit and still the same sooooooper bad experience. FIRST, I had a reservation to them between 7 to 730pm as some of my companion came from Manila especially my mom but when... More

It's the ambiance that adds credit to the restaurant. You feel at home when you dine and the food is just like cook by a regular kusinera but it taste really good.

I love their tuna panga!...and of course, other numerous dishes. Delectable and yet affordable menu. We've been visiting the place almost every weekend and ordering same dishes. Funny, huh? Well, that's how yummy the food we ate and we can't just get enough from our first or second...or third visit. Hahahahahaha 😊

Restaurant was really perfect...finally we had to come back one more time :-) Tuna belly, hot and spicy crevettes was unforgettable, but scallops StJack on the bbq was the best I ever had with unusual sweet way of preparation. The price was quite friendly and we spent 2 times the best dinner in Philippines :-) Thank you STK !!! Tereza.

Do not hesitate to order the scallops and tuna panga when going in this place. It is simply delicious. We were also feeling a bit experimental and we ordered the "wild pig" sinuglaw which has a a weird after taste and the turtle soup. We did not eat the turtle as it still has the shell, it was so weird.... More

Went here on suggestion of locals. Lots of history...make sure you ask to get a tour of the house. Food was great with authentic Filipino dishes and grilled foods. Not easy to find, however, so make sure you get a driver.

In terms of value, quality and quantity, this was the best food we ate on our recent trip to the Philippines. Managed to get in without a reservation on a Sunday inspite of it being pretty rammed. Can't remember every meal the 4 of us ordered but was really impressed with the Squid and the Crispy Belly Pork. Garlic Rice... More

Loved the decors. The collection of old stuff shows the history of the Philippines. Food is good and their grilled tuna jaw is a must try. The crew always have a smile on their faces. Ate here with with friends who are from around the world and they all loved the food. Location is s a bit and of a... More
