Quiet intimate place, good for business meetings

If you are looking for a place to bring a client for coffee and business, this is the place. The food is good, the ambience is classy, it is quiet enought for a business meeting. The service is not too good though. We went at 4pm and the place is not full, only 4 tables occupied but we still had... read more

Cafe 1771 is a destination restaurant, being elegant and sophisticated. It's like walking into someone's home to enjoy a magnificent meal. It's fresh and clean and the food is superb. We were welcomed with a plate of toasty, crisp bread drizzled with olive oil and then we enjoyed delicious appetizers having the Gambas (500) and the Chicken Liver Pate (250).... More

Food is great both on eyes and in your mouth. Made a blog post about it on my website and surprised on how inquiries about the place came flooding. Excellent staff and service.

My family has been having breakfast parties here for years. Its easy to go to, being in El Pueblo right in the middle of Ortigas Center; it has a nice Frenchy breakfast atmosphere, and the food is good, esoecially the breakfast choices. My personal favorites: hubad na longganisa or bangus for breakfast, for lunch lemon chicken. The fudge brownie and... More

I really enjoyed both arriving and being in this restaurant. The decor is quaint and a little eccentric and certainly welcoming. The service is excellent and the food very good. My colleague paid so I am not sure of cost though he said good value for money.

Came here for brunch and tried the highly recommended corned beef hash. Delicious! Also tried the toast with guava jam, grilled cheese and dark chocolate sauce... should not work but does somehow. Very comfortable setting with an old-fashioned, but modernised, feel that is like an oasis of old time relaxation in the middle of the modern hectic rush that is... More

Dined a couple of years back for lunch, we were happy and even gave a rave review at Tripadvisor about our experience. We returned for dinner this time and what a big mistake. Ordered a couple of appetisers, not bad. Mains being served in the midst of us all eating our "just served" appetisers. Wait staff and kitchen clearly no... More

We tried eating here for breakfast and their native chocolate was not available. They are offerring to change it with coffee. We asked if we can have capuccino instead, they said yes but an upgrade charge of 70 pesos To go with the bundle. We were asking to remove the drink instead and it was not aallowed. Looking at the... The fondue and lamb shoulder chops were really good. They have a good selection of wines. It was nice of them to take special requests - my beau requested for a tower of macarons (as I am a sucker for macarons)! We had a really nice night, the service was great - and we shall come back.
