Tried this one for a quick lunch this week. Went in without too high expectations, was very pleasantly surprised. Lunch set menus are huge and of great value. I had the sushi nigiri set which included a full plate of sushi plus fried tofu, fish, tempura, salad PLUS chawanmushi, all of this for 620Php, a steal, easily good for two!... More

Unlike some cheap fastfood chains pretending to serve authentic japanese food, this resto gives you a taste of real japanese cuisine. The price is cheap compared to other authentic japanese restos. And they have set meals in the menu which is quite heavy for 1 person to finish. Their service is a bit lousy though. I eat here frequently and... More

If you like sushi then you must try theirs. We ordered the assorted sushi so that each one of us could have our favorites. And we were not disappointed. We were a group of 4. We ordered Yakisoba, Tempura, beef roll with mushroom, seafood hotpot soup and the assorted sushi. The yakisoba and tempura was okay. The seafood hotpot soup... More

Price a bit high but not unusual for japanese restos. Serving is ample and main course usually comes with side salad. Our mistake is we ordered vege salad which we didnt finish because of the free salad that comes with the beef and pork dishes we had. Miso soup is great! Tempura even better!

Went there today with myu business partner, One had Yakininku and the two had Tonkatsu Curry Rice including me. We shared the Sukiyaki. We have been here many times and all agreed that the food was really good with no adverse comments. Lunch time is a good time to visit as they have special promotion on their Bento which is... More

The food is good, the cold noodle is delicious and refreshing. Very fitting food for a warm summer early evening dinner. The bento box is generously laden with sashimi, tempura shrimp, tofu and a few other food. The service is good, the service crew is attentive, courteous and efficient. But the best is its location, best seats for viewing Manila... More

The best Japanese restaurant in Manila, and do not forget to order their ramen.....their soup stock is superb! My family love love love Japanese food and this restaurant serves high quality food. The best time to come is lunch so you can order from their bento box choices which is worth for your money. This restaurant is a MUST TRY!

Tanabe Restaurant spells quality and authentic Japanese food. My kids love the oyster and the sushi. We had lunch there again and we left happy and satisfied. Will be back in a couple of weeks to celebrate an important occasion. "Itadakimasu" Service is polite and fast. The place is accessible and clean.

Superb Japanese experience as we feasted on sushi, calmari, sashimi &a lot more! My kids had a great time learning about the menus & the stories that go with them.... There are many Japanese restos in Manila but nothing beats the real ones!
