Generally good- there is room for improvement

I stay in this hotel 3 to 4 times a year for a duration of 6 to 8 weeks out of the year. So the HEAT is where I primarily eat breakfast as it is part of the room package. As i know some of the staff, I may get better attention than a stranger who walks in. I would... read more

On June 30, 2015 my wife and I visited Edsa Shangrila's Heat restaurant. We had a nice buffet. When we tried to pay the bill the waiter advised our Debit/Credit was being declined. He even brought the credit card machine to our table and ran it for us several times showing that the card was declined. I had no cash... More

Heat of Edsa Shangrila served stale coconut with their puto bumbong. Unfortunately, my husband ate a lot of puto bumbong with lots of sugar so he didn't notice that the coconut tasted sour until out friend told us that their puto bumbong is bad and passed it around for us to check. Too late, the puto bumbong was already in... More

Went to Heat with my friends a year ago. As usual the food did not disappoint. The wide array of dishes from different cuisines satisfied every craving we had that day. All the meals were masterfully created and the ice creams and desserts were truly delicious! All in all, it was value for money!

Heat, located on the first (ground) floor of EDSA Shangri-La is a buffet type restaurant. The selections for morning, lunch and dinner are just impressive. I used this restaurant mostly for breakfast and occasionally for dinner. You got to watch your diet, not to gain too much weight during your stay.

Food was luke warm/cold. A lot of the food was sitting there for a while and was not replaced with fresh food until it was all gone. The pasta making station took 5 minutes for each small bowl to be made as well as the make your own ice cream and crepes. Nothing really stood out, everything was whatever. A... More
