I've never had outstanding Chinese food anywhere in the Philippines, and that holds true even after this visit. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the culinary delight that is Hong Kong. However, the Shang Palace had, without doubt, the best Chinese food I've eaten in the country. Though it's not outstanding, it is quite tasty, authentic and well presented; and it's... More

The Shang Palace is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Manila. It is the Chinese restaurant of Shangrila Makati. The restaurant has fantastic decor and service. I have eaten its lauriat meals several times. The dimsum plus gives you unlimited dimsum which you can order from a menu card .with one main dish (that is the plus). The dimsum... More

Shang Palaca is one of the best restaurants I've tried. It serves the best dimsum in entire Makati and its frequented by the who's who in the country. Wealthy Chinese families and Filipino businessmen dine here, being inside Makati Shangri-La. The prices are a bit steep, but with the quality of the food, it's definitely worth it. The best time... I love everything from the start. The location and ambience is very good. Their steamed peanut appetizer is really yummy; we had at least 6 cups of it. Peking duck 3 way is a must when eating here. Order prawn with cereal, crab with black pepper, scallops with asparagus (pricey though). The only thing i did not like was the... More

Shang Palace is by far the best place I know of to get Dim Sum in Manila. The Dim Sum Plus deal they have most lunchtimes for unlimited Dim Sum and tea is very hard to beat. Service can be very slow and frustrating, particularly if the restaurant is busy but the quality of food is unquestionable. Highly recommended!

We eat here every time we are celebrating somebody's birthday. Why? Because everything is simply delicious. But we always get some favorites like the Deep Fried Prawns with Orange Sauce (I can never get enough of these), Crab with Sotanghon & Fish Lip Soup (the best!). Really, it's a place that you will always come back to because the food... More

Had to go to Shang Palace in beautiful Makati Shangrila to satisfy a craving for Chinese food. A friend of ours was celebrating his birthday and he treated us to lunch in a private room at Shang Palace. We started with some dimsum to tickle our tummies with the delicious feast ahead. Simply superb shrimp and pork siomai and some... More

The Shang Palace is the chinese restaurant of the 5* Shangri-la hotel in Makati, Manila. So, being a very well-known and iconic hotel in the business district of Manila you arrive with a certain level of expectation of the food, environment and the service. On both occasions we have visited for lunch, we chose the Dim Sum Plus menu, which... More

We had a dinner with our clients here at Shang Palace just this week. Woah! I enjoyed the variety of food that my big boss ordered for us! Even if I am allergic to seafoods and chicken, I didnt let the chance just pass by w/o me eating these great meals! Not to miss, I love the mango sago (tapioca)!!!... More

The ambiance is nicer than most Chinese Restaurants and elegant...of course this is what you would expect at a Shangrila Hotel. The dim sum is reasonably priced and good to very good but not Excellent. The small lechon (pig)was good but also not excellent and not particularly flavorful. We had requested a booth so that we could have a more... More
