Best dim sum in town!

Always here for the dim sum as we all love it! Value for money and the service is always great. We had one time a bad rice dish and immediately it was replaced by the attentive staff.

I tried out the 888 all-you-can-eat dim sum buffet at the Shang Palace recently. I ordered lots of different dishes and definitely ate all that I possibly could, but wasn't blown away by the food quality. I grew up in Vancouver and ate a lot of Cantonese food when I was young, so perhaps I just have high standards, but,... More

I took a few of my friends recently for a memorable meal at this restaurant. It was a truly gastronomical experience. The marquee dishes were a great jumbo prawn course, the classic Peking Duck and some great fresh fish and pork dishes and last but not the least some great sautéed vegetables. If you are looking for a special place for a very... More

I have been a loyal and largely happy patron of the Shangri La chain of hotels in Asia for over 30 years. I have routinely patronized Shangri La hotels for rooms and restaurants in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, the Philippines (Manila and Cebu), Kota Kinabalu, Tokyo, and Bangkok, among others. I am a Golden Circle member. I was... More

This afternoon we visited Shang Palace to enjoy the Dim Sum Plus offer, as we have on multiple occasions since moving to Manila. It includes soup, main course, dessert and unlimited dim sum choices for PHP 888, a great deal and a delicious treat. My husband and I each have our favorite dishes. I really enjoy the scallops and asparagus,... More

I wrote a review a little over a month ago that was very critical of the Shang Palace. I wrote the GM and the F&B Manager who was on duty at that time a very detailed account of what happened. That's where the journey begins. The response from the GM, Alain Bolgers, was very apologetic and included details on what... More

We decided to try the lunch time Dim Sum Buffet at Shang Palace which is housed in the Shangri La Hotel Makati. The cost was a reasonable Php888+ This included unlimited Dim Sum freshly ordered off the menu and a choice each of only one main dish. Service was excellent and the venue only had a few other tables of... More

We love to eat here, and most Shang Palace across Asia. Somehow in Makati, the management cannot get the service experience to match the quality of the typical Shang hospitality. Today's lunch is my 3rd in past 45 days...it's always the same - you could sit for some time before you are offered the menu or service. Normally I would... More

We visited the Shang Palace today looking forward to the usual Shang excellence both from a culinary artistry perspective and client service perspective. Put it this way, if there's a way to give a negative rating, I would give it. The summary - food was great but service was PAINFULLY slow and the management didn't know how to handle it.... More

A few weeks ago my family and I were celebrating the anniversary of our parents - they have been together for thirty five wonderful years. Of course, we didn't think we would go wrong at having our little get together at Makati Shangri-La. That evening, everyone was craving for Chinese cuisine, so Shang palace it was. We had the perfect... More
