The Best Chinese Cuisine Experience Yet

On a rainy Wednesday lunch, we're supposed to dine at Inagiku but the plan has changed and we ended up in Shang Palace, which made our day. Im not a chinese resto fan because I always have either a bad or just barely okay experience. I dont know all the names of the dishes that ive tried but what... read more

The service in this place is excellent and while the food was ok, we expected more. The Peking duck was not as good as others I had and my daughters beef in oyster sauce (a standard Chinese dish) was not that tasty. My family found the choices limited if you choose à la carte although the set meals for four... More

Fine dinning price but good refined food. Honestly if you have dined at other Shang Palace, you will find that you are back to the same! Consistent despite sharing the same name in different countries

The food we had for dinner were all GREAT. I especially loved their salt and pepper soft shelled crab. My cousin asked if they had minced chicken with lettuce. The order taker said it was not on the menu but they were willing to prepare one for her. For good tasting Chinese cuisine, I would recommend Shang Palace to my... More

While everything we sampled was wonderful--from barbecued pork to asparagus rolls-- nothing topped the salt and pepper soft crabs. Every flavor, every texture was perfectly balanced. My only regret is not having time to enjoy their menu more often. If I had any criticism at all, it would be that the waitpersons are somewhat stand-offish, and while it was very... More

The Shang Place in Makati Shangri-La is the safest Chinese restaurant for a gourmet Chinese meal in the city.

There is something of a tradition in Chinese restaurants of not spending much on the decor as it sends the message to the patrons that the establishment spends its money on the cuisine rather than the physical plant. While this restaurant is located inside the Makati Shangri-La, the same philosophy seems to apply. Unless you are in a large group... More

Dimsum all you can at Shang Palace is still the best I've tried so far in the Makati area. I've yet to find a better one in the area. Meaning - food quality, ambiance and service. The only negative for me is sometimes the long wait for the orders to arrive.

Nothing beats Shang Palace being the place for best dimsum for a chinese restaurant. Located on the second floor of Makati Shangrila (The best hotel for me) it gives a authentic feel and the food is absolutely fantastic.

The menu has enough choices. The servings are adequate. The restaurant does not scrimp on the ingredients. The plating and presentation is appealing but it does not some cheap. The food is excellent. And the service is great.
