excellent Chinese cuisine

The menu has enough choices. The servings are adequate. The restaurant does not scrimp on the ingredients. The plating and presentation is appealing but it does not some cheap. The food is excellent. And the service is great.

Nothing beats Shang Palace being the place for best dimsum for a chinese restaurant. Located on the second floor of Makati Shangrila (The best hotel for me) it gives a authentic feel and the food is absolutely fantastic.

The service at Shang palace was horrible. The aircon of the hotel was turned down on a hot summer day. Drivers are allowed to idle their cars in the basement parking, as they slept, while waiting for their passengers

I tried out the 888 all-you-can-eat dim sum buffet at the Shang Palace recently. I ordered lots of different dishes and definitely ate all that I possibly could, but wasn't blown away by the food quality. I grew up in Vancouver and ate a lot of Cantonese food when I was young, so perhaps I just have high standards, but,... More

I took a few of my friends recently for a memorable meal at this restaurant. It was a truly gastronomical experience. The marquee dishes were a great jumbo prawn course, the classic Peking Duck and some great fresh fish and pork dishes and last but not the least some great sautéed vegetables. If you are looking for a special place for a very... More

I have been a loyal and largely happy patron of the Shangri La chain of hotels in Asia for over 30 years. I have routinely patronized Shangri La hotels for rooms and restaurants in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, the Philippines (Manila and Cebu), Kota Kinabalu, Tokyo, and Bangkok, among others. I am a Golden Circle member. I was... More

This afternoon we visited Shang Palace to enjoy the Dim Sum Plus offer, as we have on multiple occasions since moving to Manila. It includes soup, main course, dessert and unlimited dim sum choices for PHP 888, a great deal and a delicious treat. My husband and I each have our favorite dishes. I really enjoy the scallops and asparagus,... More

I wrote a review a little over a month ago that was very critical of the Shang Palace. I wrote the GM and the F&B Manager who was on duty at that time a very detailed account of what happened. That's where the journey begins. The response from the GM, Alain Bolgers, was very apologetic and included details on what... More

We decided to try the lunch time Dim Sum Buffet at Shang Palace which is housed in the Shangri La Hotel Makati. The cost was a reasonable Php888+ This included unlimited Dim Sum freshly ordered off the menu and a choice each of only one main dish. Service was excellent and the venue only had a few other tables of... More

Always here for the dim sum as we all love it! Value for money and the service is always great. We had one time a bad rice dish and immediately it was replaced by the attentive staff.
