We had lunch several times at shang palace and met a very gregarious and ever-ready at your service attitude restaurant manager, cindy alavar. the name, shang palace, as a 5-star restaurant speaks for itself. food quality, ambience, and staff services are utmost important criteria shang solidly and stricly adhere to, and pride itself for. services rendered and demonstrated are 5-star... One of the best experiences of service we've had since we've come to the Philippines. My husband and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We had booked our tables in advance, and when we arrived the lady at the front desk - Hannah - immediately escorted us to our table. When we got there, we were introduced to... More

We took my uncles and aunts here on our recent visit to Manila. My partner claims this Dim Sum Plus offers some of the best Yum Cha he has ever had. While expensive by Filipino standards, it was an affordable lunch as an Australian and a very nice birthday treat for my Uncle. We would recommend the Dim Sum Plus... More

Visited Shang Palace located at Makati Shangri-la Hotel for our anniversary dinner. The place is cozy and clean. The service is superb. Food was serve fast and ofcourse hot. From the restaurant concierge to our table, we are assisted by Ms. Annel Garcia. She was very professional and she ensures that everything is in order. At the end of our... More

I have been coming to Shang Palace 3-4x a year as I go to Manila for business quite a bit. The quality has consistently been declining, but the service is good and ambiance is nice so I cut them a break from time to time. Tonight, however, was a DISASTER. There was no maitre d', so I had to locate... More

Easily, The Shang Palace is the most expensive ala Carte restaurant in the Philippines. Located in Makati Shangri-la Hotel, one of the more beautiful hotels in the Philippines, the grand lobby of this hotel is second to none, the best! Walk up the grand winding staircase like royalty to get to this restaurant. It's a poorly managed restaurant, as you... More

Next to the hole-in-the-wall Dimsum spots you'll find it Chinatown, this probably serves the best Dimsum in the city; expect to pay for the ambience and its very central ShangRiLa Hotel location. The Peking Duck is also worth a mention - skin is crisp and not too greasy. Reservations recommended.

The Shangri-La properties typically have a Chang Restaurant, and this was no exception. The food and decor at this location are excellent. Some Chinese restaurants have menus thar are overwhelmimg, but this Chang has a well designed one that makes the many selections easy to choose nonetheless. The food and service were great, but the design and decoration are the... More

The half Peking Duck that we had (Php 1888) was fair. The duck wasn't very flavorful and the crepes for me were light but texture was off, but for my wife she liked the crepes. Hot & Sour soup (Php 288) was good and we always add black vinegar. The Special crab claw (one claw per plate serving runs Php... More

This is a favorite Chinese Restaurant in Makati. We had one bad dish this last visit, the manager changed it immediately without questions. The food is very good, the service always great.
