Im not a vegan but really enjoyed

I recently had dinner at the Corner Tree Cafe with friends from work, several who are Vegetarians. While I have to admit I am not, I thought the food was very good with a surprising flavor and extremely well prepared. When I visited the Philippines in 2012, as someone who is both gluten-allergic and vegan, it was definitely a struggle to find any restaurants where I could eat. Vegan fare was becoming less rare, especially in Manila, but "gluten-free" was still a puzzlement. And then my aunt recommended that I visit Corner Tree Cafe, and everything changed. It's a cute... The best vegan place in town, we had the veggie rolls, arroz, adobo and the quinoa salad - all were good! Oh the onion rings were swell too! Coffee deliciousness!

It seems people here have forgotten what veggies do for the body and soul. Everywhere veggies seems scarce in the menu. That is what you get here and plenty of it. I met a couple of friends and this place was recommended by a monk. It's located in a corner this tiny and cramp eatery provided delicious falafel and decadent... More

After hearing great things about this place in reviews, as well as it getting a mention in the Lonely Planet guide, I couldn't wait to try the Corner Tree cafe. As you walk inside, it has a very different feel to any other vegetarian restaurant I've been to in the Philippines. It had a European feel to it, which I... More

Was introduced to this place by a vegan. I have pre-concieved notions about vegan food but this restaurant took all the negatives away. I love their Bowl of Chili and North African Vegetable soup and always end a meal with their rich salted caramel chocolate torte. Not to mention the fact the ambience is cozy and conducive to a nice,... More

I felt like I was in Berkeley, about half of the patrons I think wore berkinstoks. Do vegans wear tattoos? Oh, the food was a rather good 8.3 HAS (Holy Ashram Scale), my yogi would approve. The morrocan couscous was good, But too genuine for my gf then stole my burger platter- the tofu burger was a bit too tofu'ish...... More

This place looks very western and is miles away from the typical Filipino restaurant. The cook is very gifted and the foods taste wonderful. The cooking is not the result of the throwing together of various ingredients but the careful assembly and differential cooking of first rate and fresh elements. We loved the pea-mint soup and the penne all'arrabiata. Vegan... More

I have tasted several vegan food but the one from this place taste good. Waiters are not service oriented probably because of the pride that goes along with this place. Overall, good food.
