Daytime casual dining for lunch or snacks (merienda). There is an outdoor setting option. Indoor mostly Filos inside the restaurant. All furniture set up are really very casual. Enjoyed the "bibingka" a really nicely cooked and flavoured mix with salted egg topping.

We visited the Oyster Bar on our one-day layover in Manila. The menu offered home-style Filipino food as well as oysters. The oyster beignets are a must try. The service was great, the price was right, and the food was yummy.

Oyster Bar is consistent, as well as the "bibinka" which is a local delicacy and one of the restaurant's specialties. Decor could use a little upgrade, but overall, still a good place for afternoon delights.

We went here for dinner and liked the food that they served. The servings were small portion but good for the price and it's delicious. The restaurant was busy because it was on a Saturday night but we received a good service and the servers were friendly.

Via Mare is our default place for merienda and lunch. Their dishes are all tasty, and portions are for sharing. They upgrade their menus regularly. I was pleasantly surprised with their merienda/dessert fare which were upgraded to include the old favorites like guinumis, halo halo, mais con hielo that are served in small portions in 3 inch glasses.

+ The food was great - I liked the sinigang sa miso bangus belly and the crispy pata. The sinigang had enough acid that you could still savor the flavor of the fish; bangus belly fat is just delicious and nothing should detract from its natural flavor. The crispy pata was deep-fried to perfection, with the skin so crispy and... More

What a shame! The menu and food here is generally OK except for the fact that every dish is over cooked and quite dry. This is not acceptable. They should get a properly trained chef and I am sure that this place would jump into the "very good" category.
