The warm seafood salad of grilled octopus, tiger prawns, mussels with white beans with dill, mustard and lemon is exceptional. I also love the starter of gnocchi, guanciale, mushrooms and truffle cream. The lamb shoulder confit and grilled loin, eggplant and sesame, red pepper jam was outstanding. The spiced apple and almond financier with burnt butter ice cream was a... More

Was told that the owner had opened a new restaurant " blackbirfd" but at the same time that the staff was not properly trained yet. Friends found it disappointing and thats why I went to Sala again. Just to be sure my guests were properly served the dishes . It was done as it should be. Coming to the food... More

had the tasting menu at the Sala, both food and wine selection excellent, some of the reviews suggested was expensive, by Philippine standards will not be cheapest, but by European standards was great value for money. The restaurant was relaxed and welcoming, the service good, i would highly recommend a trip there for a fine dining experience.

There has yet to be a Michelin-star rated restaurant in the Philippines. Sala probably comes the closest towards achieving one. I started dining at Sala when Chef Colin Mackay first opened this spot in the late 90s in Malate (old part of Manila). It has since moved to Makati in the mid-2000s and has been a constant favorite. The limited... More

I was encouraged to eat at Sala restaurant because of the good reviews i've read from the tripadvisor. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and did try some foie gras on the side and it was excellent. They serve their complimentary bread but needs to be handpicked by the customers (which i am quite bit sensitive because everybody... More

I loved this restaurant so much that I returned on my last night in Manila. The wait staff are attentive; the bartender is magic; and the chefs truly know what they're doing. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom raviolis and seafood risotto.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the Philippines. Owner Colin Mackay has repeatedly proven to be perfect, and above all, for a consistency in quality and service, not only in Sala, his flagship, but also in his other restaurants, Sala Bistro and People's Palace. With Colin you can't go wrong. In this mega city of Metro Manila with over... More
