Great filipino food

The hotel recommended Fely J's as a good place to go for some authentic filipino food. We relied on the waitress to recommend what we should eat. We took just about all her recommendations and after we completely stuffed ourselves we still had a mountain of leftovers. I guess we don't eat a lot... read more

This place promises more than it delivers. You expect tasty home style Filipino food and what you get is low quality food cooked in an amateurish way. I am sure that locals will be happy there but I do not think sophisticated travelers will be enthused at all.

This is one of the restaurants owned by Larry Cruz's LJC company and is named after his mother. Most of the items on the menu are from family recipes, food that the matron of the clan lovingly cooked for her husband and children and guests. Since they are from Pampanga, several dishes are traditional and authentic to the province. I... More

We started the evening with some appetizers - calamari, paco salad (paco is a type of fern with shrimp and salted duck egg), vietnamese spring rolls. Best of these was the salad with the calamari a close second. Mains were adobo (made with beef ribs), crispy pork hock deep fried with garlic, Hianese chicken with steamed rice, fried rice with... Whenever I want to treat guests to home cooked Filipino meal that I don't have to cook myself, I bring them to Fely J's restaurant at Greenbelt. No matter how many times I go back, I always start with utan Ilonggo. This is a mixture of thinly sliced squash and okra and malunggay leaves (moringa leaves) in a seafood based... More

This was the second time visiting the location at Greenbelt 5. This restaurant is part of the LJC family of restaurants as Abé and a couple of other popular restaurant. The times I try to visit, it tends to be busy with long waits despite too many reserved tables. The first time we got a table outside and the food... More

Took two American guests here (it's their 1st time in the PH) for the farewell/thanksgiving dinner they tendered in our honor and they thoroughly enjoyed all dishes we ordered, especially the caldereta and the fish dish. Am personally glad that the food did not disappoint, although the inattentive waiter did get the ire of one of my companions.

I was expecting a bit more but found the food, service and ambiance average. We ordered Hito,(crispy fish) Gising Gising and a beef dish. I found the food at Mesa another competing Filipino restaurant better.
