Cold Winter Night

On a cold winter night, 4 of us headed for Elderberry Pond in a mini snow storm. We came because of the special "Dickens Christmas Dinner". This was a 4 course meal for $35 per person. We started out with a small wine list, of not many familiar wines. The Risling was fair the merlot OK. Our... read more

We enjoyed our first-time visit to Elderberry Pond. We were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. The atmosphere is pleasant with high ceilings. We chose to partake in the Fall Harvest 3-course menu ($39/pp). I started with a mixed greens salad and roasted red pepper dressing (house made from their peppers). He had soup (I can't remember which... More

The fall bounty was in full bloom and it tasted as wonderful as it looked! We are real foodies especially after just returning from 3 weeks in Northern Italy. Our dinner was as good as the locally sourced, organic food we had in Italy. This was particularly true for the prosciutto and pork dishes.

Not only was the building lovely, but the food was delicious. The building was very quiet when we went at noon. We love the concept of farm to table. I had a luscious butternut squash soup with a salad. My husband had a special for the day which was a pasta dish with their own homemade sausage. Known for their... More

We heard about he farm-to-table concept and wanted to try it. Very glad we did. Food was wonderful and Dominic, our server, was very professional. Get there early because the popular specials tend to run out quickly.

We had business to do in Auburn and since our wedding anniversary was near, we decided to have lunch at the Elderberry Pond I called in and reserved a table for two, wondering whether a reservation for lunch on a Saturday noon was really necessary. Upon arriving at the "Pond", the first thing we noticed that almost all parking spaces... More

Three of us ate at the Elderberry Pond restaurant for the first time, based on a recommendation of a family member. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is in a very nice country setting. The foods are organic and mostly grown on the associated farm or nearby. There is an outdoor patio where one can dine if the weather is... More

My wife and I are frequent guests of this establishment. The farm to table appeals to us and they do it so well. The atmosphere is intimate and conducive to good conversation. We have always found the food consistent and delicious. The service is also excellent, hats off in particular to Garrett. This past Sunday night we had dinner and... More

This was our first visit to Elderberry Pond - the hostess who greeted us was friendly and made us feel "at home" right away. The menu, although limited, has enough options to appeal to most people. I had the shrimp & scallop scampi which was one of the best I've had (and I order it often!). My husband had the... More

While visiting the area we decided on this place due to the small menu available to us at the time. While the service and food were excellent, we were not expecting it to be more on the formal side. We felt a little under-dressed. We all got the seafood scampi and the scallops were so tender they practically melted in... More
