I keep on coming back!!! Their menu includes staples of Japanese cuisine. What is missing though, is a ramen selection. I love their green tea ice cream in mung beans.

i seriously asked the owner if i could live in her kitchen when we were done with our meal. the sushi was excellent, salad was great, miso soup (which i normally don't love) i was head over heels for, the curry was magnificent, and the ice cream (especially the strawberry), was heavenly. they pay attention to the details and the... Its our last day in Baguio and we've been looking for a really nice place for our lunch. Luckily, we found Chaya which is not too far from Downtown Baguio. The sign is not that visible so watch out for it carefully. Its Chinese New Year and the place is packed so we are really lucky to still have a... More

Chaya serves good japanese food with a very homey atmosphere. A little crowded but nonetheless, enjoyed and satisfied my japanese food craving.

Chaya is probably the best Japanese restaurant in Baguio. Though the portions may be small for some dishes, everything is well-executed and the price is reasonable considering the quality of the food. Make sure to have reservations though, particularly if you plan to visit during regular meal times.

I like Chaya because of its great food, and great atmosphere.. it's not far from downtown baguio yet there is silence in that place. It's so homely at the same time and for me that's an extra point.

Was really surprised that they took action on my reservation which only took place 2 hours before we go. I didn't really expect them to reply back because of that short notice though. Reservation is advised because sometimes the place gets full with customers and you wouldn't want to wait with your hungry stomach, don't you?Immediately greeted by the very... More

Ambiance is nice. My gauge of a true Japanese restaurant is the presence of japanese and/or korean patrons and finding chawan mushi on the menu. They do have it, however, they require minimum of 2 orders. If i wasn't crazy about it i'd skip this order. Had kani salad which was standard with surimi but also hints of actual crab... More

Upon arriving in this restaurant, I noticed how nice the place is. It is because it looks very homey. There weren't that much people eating in the establishment so we anticipated that we would get a chair quickly. We waited about 10 minutes, not bad. We were starving that time so we were expecting the food to arrive quickly (... More
