Cozy interior, yummy dessert

It was late in the afternoon and I was looking for a place where I could do some work. When I asked a waiter if they have a power socket he cheerfully said yes and directed me to the table. I was still preparing my stuffs when the same waiter gave a glass of water, plus point. It was the... read more

The queuing system is crappy! We waited for like an hour just to get a table. The service is not also that good. We had an argument with the crews regarding the first come first serve policy. Great ambience. Too crowded. If you're looking for a place to chill this is not the place you're looking for. I love the... More

We were starving when we arrived in Baguio last Holy Thursday. I have been planning to visit this popular restaurant and so we did. We ordered sinigang, bagnet, and one fish dish with coconut milk. Their prices well a bit much for me but the food was really delicious. I particularly loved the sinigang! The smoothies really tasted of strawberries.... More

Decided to have lunch here as we heard that this place is nice to dine with. The place is cozy and quiet. Good ambiance considering the place is sorrounded by hotels. Never thought that there could be this place as cozy as this. The food is good although its kinda expensive. We tried their coffee. We dont like it bcoz... More

Admittedly, it's only been last year since I found out about Cafe by the Ruins. However, looking back my last visit to Baguio was 2006 so things have changed so much since then. Ever since I found out about Cafe by the Ruins, I know it will be a form of habit for me. Whenever I visit Baguio, I would... More

A lot of people eat here, particularly upper middle class Manilenos so there's a lot of cars parked outside and you have to wait as much as an hour to get seated, But the ambiance, service, and food is great. I like camote bread with strawberry jam and butter (it could sometimes ran out. I only had orange marmalade in... More

We had breakfast here with my colleagues and I ordered Cheese Omelette meal. It was served with rice, coffee and fruits. The omelette was a little bland, maybe because its just Kesong Puti and egg... the fruits were fresh and comes with a sweet syrup. The whole meal costs Php 280 with 5% service charge. They accept both cash and... More

Their food was great! I liked the Bagnet very much. The Strawberry Shortcake is a must try too. The restaurant's look and feel is very relaxing, although we found their staff quite unaccomodating.

The duck cassoulet was a total letdown and so was the lamb. The local dishes like fresh lumpia and sotanghon soup fared better.

It's highly recommended by my friends and while we haven't had a chance to try their foods, I'd recommend the place for coffee (or tea), they have loads of tasty pastries as well and really lovely fireplace. Watch out, the teapot is as heavy as two irons! :D
