Cure for baguio hangover

We ended our overnight stay in baguio at cafe by the ruins. Their serving was sumptuous, plus points for the ambiance. Too bad we were not allowed to smoke inside.

I used to love this place and come often (almost everyday) for their herbal tea and "kamote" freshly baked bread. But now, I was in dismay because the service was no longer the same, the portion of foods do not justify its price. I found it pricy even for the tea and bread.

Its like having cafe by the ruins, literally. Beautiful ambiance anytime of the day but especially at night. Food is healthy but delicious. Eating here transports you to another place. It's a romantic place for couples to just be together and enjoy each others company in a beautiful setting.

It has been my tradition that everytime I go to Baguio, I must dine at Cafe By The Ruins. You'd love the ambience. Their servings are pretty big that I have to sometimes share with whoever accompanies me. A must-try: Bagnet with red rice that comes with fish sauce and tomato salad partnered with their very own version of Lemongrass... More

With a broken wall around which this restaurant has been built is classic!. Food is awesome. the busy streets outside fading away, once you walk in, you have your privacy and the ambience takes over!. Must visit, while you are in Baugio, on your way to the mountain province?!

This is one of the classic, go-to restaurants when in Baguio. The homemade breads are delicious, the kind worth bringing home as pasalubong. I had their BLT for lunch and they had a way of making it special: organic bacon and fresh veggies in a soft, potato bun.

I think that for the most part, you're paying for the ambiance. The place is really cozy and perfect for dates. Prices of dishes (slow and fast) start at 340++, with pasta dishes 220++. The bagnet is a must try! Though my humba dish tasted a little average for me. Ruins tea, was a great fixer. ☺

Very long waiting line in their branch near burnham so we went to their other branch. Only few people, not sure if the area is bigger than their main branch. Food was good. I ordered the Mt. Data Tapa with Sagada rice. I felt really full after . Breakfast came with mixed fruits and a choice of brewed coffee or... More
