Good destination in Baguio

Cafe by the Ruins boasts of organic items served by a friendly team. Prices are very reasonable and the choices adequate. We had a simple lunch which was very good, their strawberry shakes are absolutely to die for and they do sell breads and some other delicacies. On the negative side it is... read more

The duck cassoulet was a total letdown and so was the lamb. The local dishes like fresh lumpia and sotanghon soup fared better.

We were looking forward to dining here having read the wonderful reviews; we visited the one beside Mario's restaurant. We were extremely disappointed. They sold bread in the first floor in open baskets; there were flies all over and landing on the bread (a definite turn-off, we saw this on the way out). We had to send the food back... More

As what everyone else is saying, the food is superb. A must ry whenever you are visiting Baguio. Mind the waiting times during peak season, oh and Try the Open Faced Tuna!

Not much to say about this place that has not already been covered by the other reviews, we only ate there for breakfast and as a non filipino i found the food delicious and more "home cooked" than the other places i ate in and around the islands, the breads and pastries in particular are incredible. I also ate in... More

By the time we went to Cafe by the Ruins for brunch, I've already had 2 breakfasts (that's why you call it a vacation!) I was super full but the food instantly revived my appetite! Try their croissant and fruit cup with yogurt!

Woke up early for breakfast with family which was great as there was only a few customers at that time. I had the Ruins Longganisa (Filipino style sausage) and Ruins coffee, my wife had the Longsilog and Champorado (sweet chocolate rice porridge) paired with daing (dried fish). I do love the Champorado and wished that I ordered another one also.... More

Reserved a table for the evening because we were unsure how busy it would be. Service was well paced but like many of the restaurants in Baguio it won't be serving after 10pm I expect. Excellent salad, fish dishes and expresso coffee. Even went as far as ordering a bottle of wine. The first bottle that the waiter brought wasn't... More

It was a good place to hangout or catch up with a friend. The coffee's good. I will definitely go back to try their other menu. The place is really something you should visit when in Baguio.

We went here with friends and first thing i noticed is the ambiance. it was so relaxing and looking by some of the other customers they seem like they are quite happy with the place. they look like they are enjoying their food. I ordered the bagnet, its not so bad i like it but not really that special but... More
