Great place to get rotisserie chicken. When you get here, bypass the "tourist tables" just inside the door and proceed to the cash register in the back. Order food and drinks (I suggest a quarter chicken), pay and get a ticket, sit down at one of the simple tables with the locals in the back, give the ticket to the... More

Had been recommended this place and sure lived up to expectations. Make sure you book as it's very popular at dinner when the show is on. Staff were excellent, quick at taking orders and food was fantastic. Highly recommend the alpaca! The show goes for a few hours and features traditional Peruvian music, excellent band an brilliant dancers showing many... More

This was a very entertaining evening. The music and dancing didn't detract from the fact that food was top quality. I was brought here with a tour group and it gave us the chance to savour many typically Peruvian dishes, some with a western twist. They do fantastic pizzas. You can get Alpaca and Cuy at reasonable prices. The entertainment... More

One of the best rotisserie chicken (pollo a la brasa) in Peru can be had at the LaChoza de Oscar Resturant in Puno, Peru. It is located at one of the alleys that crosses the pedestrian mall in Puno (354 Libertad St.). There are two seating area or sections in this restaurant (which probably only the locals know); a larger... More

Been there for at night, and there was music and dancer. I took Alpaca meat, and It was one of the best I ate in Peru. I was great entertainment and the price seems just fin for the food.

I read some reviews below so am sharing my experience. The food and wine was good, as was the service, we were very happy and no complaints. However this to one side the entertainment of musicians and dancers thumping and whooping on the small stage, multiple costume changes, all in the price, was excellent and one of the highlights of... This restaurant was recommended to us by the tour manager, especially for chicken lovers. Apparently the front dining area where the dancers and musicians perform is for tourists who may or may not know for the same chicken dish, they are paying 25 soles while we ended up paying 10 soles eating with the locals at the back. The only difference... More

We waited over an hour for our food. The restaurant served about 20 Peruvians who came in after us, before us, and even did about three take out orders before we were finally served. Had to ask three times for more sauce for our chicken, by the time it came we were basically done. After we had finished our meal,... More

To start off, the food is delicious! Amazing food. BUT we were treated terribly and had to wait over an hour for food while TONS of Peruvians walked in and were fed instantly with the same exact orders. Extremely frustrating and they were very rude. If you go, please go at night! Friends that went at night really enjoyed it... More

This was one of the best places for food and entertainment on our trip across Peru. The food was delicious with a wide variety of traditional foods all very tasty. One real bonus is the excellent entertainment/show that accompanies the evening meal. The costumes are great and they provide a wide variety of traditional dances accompanied by a wonderful lively...
