Smart courtyard and that is it. Food was overpriced and the quantity that you got was a joke. Afterward I went and brought some empanadas and a sausage and potato wrap from some of the street vendors. Lonely Planet says they give large portions. If you were a mouse you would starve at this place. As you can tell not... More

We read about this place in the Lonely Planet and came for very late lunch / early dinner. The restaurant has a lovely courtyard but is also very cosy inside. Service was fast and the waiter very friendly. We had lamb and trout and both tasted delicious! The only thing to mention is that the portions were pretty small... Coming... More

We stumbled across this little cafe, looking for a place to rest our legs. It became our local for the next two days. We were happy to pop in for a refreshing beer in the sunny courtyard, for dinner, for coffee, for lunch...the chicken and Veg soup was very welcome when we couldn't face anything else. The staff were friendly... More

I ate here twice while in Puno and ordered the same entre (very unlike me) each time. Lamb with garlic and parsley with a glass of vino tinto. Superb! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Peru. Consistent, warm, decent service, good food.

We came here as a group for dinner and had a reasonable dinner. It was fairly affordable too. The service was great and very hospitable as you would expect from a family owned and run business The food was good by Peruvian standards with most of the group enjoying wood oven pizza for the first time in 5 weeks claiming... We came here for lunch on our own and then for dinner with our tour group. They didn't have pizza oven on for lunch so we had pasta and lamb dish. Food was average. They have good atmosphere and excellent wifi. Pisco sour wasn't as strong. Non alcoholic mint lemonade had a good kick in it. Pineapple juice was the... More

Family snack break at the Tulipan's courtyard was very pleasant. It was early and not many restaurants were open, we were happy to find this place. Lattes and cappuccinos were quite good, the ice cream shakes were a bit strange (my kids were not raving about them). There is free wifi and the younger staff persons speak some English, everyone... Nice location, a bit removed from the street by a pleasant little courtyard. We were a group of nine and the only ones in the restaurant. The upstairs area was plainly decorated and quite dark (maybe they are going for a romantic atmosphere?). Food was decent but not great and average value, service was friendly and relatively quick.

We stopped in here for lunch and were treated to great sandwiches and wonderful coffee. The restaurant is off the main street and has a lovely courtyard that was a relaxing oasis from the busyness outside. The sandwiches are on locally made bread, full of delicious ingredients and at 12 solas a great bargain. There was a bit of confusion... More
