Well, firstly the name has been changed to RICOS CAFE. . My brother and I were roaming about aimlessly in the streets of Puno when we stumbled upon this little cafe. They have so much bread and desserts at such great prices! I got a caramel filled churro and a slice of chocolate cake. Both were fantastic and I plan on returning for more.

When we arrived in Puno, we were travelling over a week in Peru and our stash of gluten free bread was running low. We searched local panaderias for GF bread and found one item made of quinoa in this place. It was called Krisinios or Crisinios and they were small cookies, crispy, and delicious with marmelade (5 soles per box).... More

We ate here twice during our visit. The cafe con leche is delicious and cheap. We tried the empanadas, salchipapas, croissants, alfajores, pionono and cookies and they were all delicious and so cheap. I didn't get to try the cakes but they looked great and the slices were big. Don't miss this bakery to either sit down and relax in... More

We stumbled upon this gem filled with locals, had to wait for a table but it was well worth the wait. Empanada de carne, pastel de acelga, and sopa de pollo y huervo, chocolate caliente con leche. Good service, excellent food, friendly staff. Highly recommendable.

Exploring this bakery and cafe was one of our (many) happy moments in Peru. Wholegrain bread and rolls, wonderful cakes (not too sweet) and excellent coffee let us enjoy our stay at this cafe very much.

Our bus passed by this location so we knew sort of where it was. It's a pretty big place, cafe with seats on one side and a take-out section in the other. You pay at the cashier telling them what you want. Take the receipt to the counter to actually get the goodies. I got something called doña azucar (I... More

My girlfriend is allergic to nuts. We asked the woman working here several times if the cookie we were buying had nuts, and she assured us repeatedly that it didn't. My Spanish isn't perfect, but I speak it well enough that we were very clear on this. She gave us the cookie, and halfway through eatingit , my girlfriend had... More

I liked the ham and cheese empanada and the cheese roll. Lots of cakes to choose from. All cake slices were 5 soles. Loved the lucuma cake, husband liked the banana chocolate mousse. The passionfruit cake was ok.

What a gem in this place. You can do a take away or sit and enjoy the atmosphere! Wonder cakes to breads and great coffee. The women work hard here as it is very busy, everyone was just wonderful and very helpful as well. We did both, we sat and ate and also did take away. The decor was very... More
