Great Restaurant

We stumbled along this restaurant while walking down Lima St. It offers a tourist menu written in English with a 3 course lunch for 18 sol. The food was really delicious and there was a choice of at least 5 entres, mains and deserts. The deserts were handmade and really yummy. The decor of this... read more

so we went to puno with a big group and looked for a place to eat. The lady our front ushered us in with the promise of alpaca. We entered and sat. And waited. And waited. About an hour just so she could take our order and then another half hour to tell us that there was indeed no alpaca.... More

Literally ran into the first restaurant to hide from the snow storm and it happened to be this place - and ya know what? WE LOVED IT!!! Great prices! Great food! Ahhhh we were literally so stoked to accidentally walk into this place, despite originally trying to find another. I definitely recommend it!!!! Oh and what was also great -... More

We spent a full day on Taquile Island and once we returned to Puno we were starving! We wandered around for a bit and finally decided we would just jam some pizza in our faces. WOW! YUM! The pizza here was so good (and I come from Chicago)! The wait staff was friendly and accomodating (I have some allergies). We... More

We waited 1 hr for our food and drinks, in the end we went and spoke to the manager, half the order came. Drinks did not come at all, salad was served with no dressing or even seasoning. Wanted to give a no star rating unfortunately that option is not there.

We just ate at this restaurant. And although the food was pretty good, I have to give them a "terrible" grade. When the waiter took the order I asked for additional napkins. They never arrived. We ordered hot tea. What is a reasonable wait time for that??? I don't think 20 minutes is reasonable. Then we waited for the food.... More

Food was good when you consider the price tag. We had the set menu for 20 Soles, corn soup, green salad both good. Grilled trout very good but sides very basic, 1/2 pizza as you would expect - half a pizza. Desserts small but good. Very busy so staff seemed to be rushed off their feet, we had to ask... More

Nice warm atmosphere, cosy place. Very fast service, uncharacteristic for Peru. Reasonable ouse red wine. Prices ok. Food quality average, nothing to write home about, but good enough for a regular tourist. Good location in the main drag between the Plaza de Armas and the Plaza Pino.

Ended up dining twice in a week! The tables around the stove/fire were just what the doctor ordered on a cold June week while we demolished hot soups, spag bol/grilled trout and lemon pie. We indulged in their complimentary Pisco Sours both times and they were delicious. If there's no room around the fire, the upstairs "cavern" is very atmospheric... More
