We went to El Fogon on a recommendation and they did not disappoint. The service was good and the food was enjoyable. We will recommend and visit again when back in David.

Although the restaurant is not far from the central parque, it´s hard to find when you don´t know your way around David, and especially in the dark (there are quite a lot of potholes in the road, and sidewalks are few). Anyway, once you get to it, the place is really inviting. We shared a starter and had fried fish... More

Pleasant relaxed open atmosphere. Great service. Menu is huge. Everything on the menu is great. Fresh food cooked hot with generous helpings. This is our go to place for lunch, we always have leftovers to take home. Lunch for under $5.00 is easy to find on this menu. Love the shrimp or chicken and rice.

El Fogon used to be my favorite spot for ceviche and beer in David. Unfortunately, time has not been kind. Service is not half as good as it used to be and the place was dirty last time we were there. I mentionned there was no soap in the washroom and was directed to a bottle of Purel... I can't... More

The service was very good and the steak average to good. A welcome respite from what we have had at other restaurants. A little difficult to find but you can ask anyone on the street for directions. It is only 3 blocks from the central avenue.

The staff was very friendly, the food good and lots of it, and the ambience was good. Very colourful and enjoyable....again, though, not a lot of choices for vegetarians.
