The food at the Pickled Parrot was amazing! The new chef is extremely friendly and passionate about the food he serves. The red snapper was one of the best meals I had on my 6 week trip through Central America. Highly recommended!

The place was recommended to us by the front desk person at our hotel. The only thing good about it is the location. We didn't get drinks for over 30 minutes because the bartender was dealing with drunk locals. The food was below mediocre and took forever to arrive. The fish tasted and looked like cafeteria fish sticks, very disappointing... More

We were excited to visit Pickled Parrot because someone in town recommended it. We went early for drinks to hang out and then eat dinner. When we walked in we were completely ignored so we figured we could sit anywhere. We chose the bar. The bartender was deep in conversation with what I can only assume to be his friends.... More

This place is now called Black Rock and is nothing special (stopped by at lunch time). Happy hour with 2 domestic beers for $3 is not exactly competitive either. I guess the previous owner sold up?

My husband and I LOVED the Pickled Parrot. You absolutely cannot beat the location- a little hut that juts out over the clear turquoise water below. We came here almost every day of our trip for happy hour (except for one day where it was randomly closed, but so goes island life!). The beers are cold; the rum punch is... More

We stayed in the house next door, so we went a few times over to George's Pickled Parrot. Apparently he wants to sell the place as he is tired of it and you can feel that unfortunately. The place is amazing and you sit right over the water which is beautiful. George always has cold beers, but that's about it.... More

We came here for lunch. How can you complain? On the pier over the water, amazing pina coladas, food was good, the owner and locals were very friendly. We even bought some homemade bug repellent that worked great!

I highly recommend Yessica and George’s place to enjoy the views, some Jimmy Buffet tunes and the best BBQ burgers. If you can get there for the monthly Pig Roast, consider yourself extra blessed. Last time I was there, I took home a bottle of the BBQ sauce (I hide it in my fridge) to enjoy when I need to... More

Good value food with cheap drinks in a lovely spot right on the water. Owner was friendly. Free wifi. Casual but a great lunch.

Ate here with a group of friends on a rainy afternoon in Bocas. It had a great vibe and a great view of the water. It was the start of low season so the place not busy at all. We were welcomed by a really friendly waitress/assistant chef/bartender who made us delicious mojitos, served us several beers, and chatted with... More
