There are a lot of expat-run places in Boquete, which can be great, but you should make sure to include local places like this in your visit. Small menu, no-frills setting, but the food and juices are absolutely delicious (FYI no beer though). And hard to beat the price.

It is not a luxury restaurant, but what do I get for the money is worth it. I have eaten there twice. "Good" restaurants in Boquete has many, but this is different. I highly recommend it.

If you like to go where the locals go for good food, this is the spot. As we were heading to another nearby restaurant, one of the locals recommended this place. We were told to look at the number of people in each. The one we were headed to was nearly empty, this place was packed. We snagged a table... More

OMG, I will remember this place for a loooong time. Don't expect anything fancy, it's a simple place with simple home-style food. The lady taking orders was very nice, explained slowly and patiently all options in Spanish (although she can try to do it in English when you ask). Here is why this place is so special... My grandmother in... More

The menu options here are limited but the value and quality of this typical Panamanian restaurant are excellent. The menu del dia is $3.50 and the amount of food is substantial. Delicious smoothies and coffee are available as well.

We had a delightful quiet dinner here which was typical Panamanian. The smoothies were tasty. The tomato rice was a favorite. You get a lot of food for the money

Did not see any of this restaurant's reviews prior to visiting it. We were recommended this restaurant at the hostel we stayed it. Simple setting, simple food, simple people - serving tasty local foods. We tried the steak with onions and the fried bananas with chicken topping. The portions were filling. The service was very good and the server was... More

It was packed at lunch so we came back at dinner. The menu del dia was $3.50 and you could choose chicken, pork or beef with sides and iced tea.

We just had one of the most delicious, and cheapest meals we've eaten in Panama. We both had the Menu of the Day, consisting of fish, salad, beans & rice, along with a glass of lemonade. The cost was $3.50 each. My wife also had a Batido for $2. Total check was $9, we added a $1 tip and were... More
