We and some friends recently had dinner again at The Rock. I am glad to report that it has maintained its high standards. Live jazz music was the bonus on Monday nights. The bread, Corvina wafer (appetizer), and Thai curry were as good as we remembered. The double Crème brûlée tasted as good is it looked.

This restaurant is kind of a safe bet, quality of food and service is great, location and ambience too, but it's also a bit expensive compared to the rest of the restaurants in the area, I'd say that actually the prices are similar to top restaurants in Panama City. The menu has a lot to offer with a reasonable variety... More

Nice restaurant a little outside of town center. Boquete craft beer (light and dark)! Staff is very attentive. Varied menu. You have to try the corvina chips - thinly sliced sea bass deep fried into chips with a great sauce. One of our few go to restaurants here.

Had breakfast 2 days included in stay at The Riverside Hotel next door. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner on 2nd night along with friends I met at a conference in Panama City a few days before. Exclusive items on menu at higher than anticipated prices, but all worth it. Added benefit was live jazz night on Monday's. A must go as evidenced... More

We went to The Rock on a recommendation from a transplant local. When we walked into the resturant we waited by the entrance of the resturant (you walk through a foyer first) for someone to greet us and no one came. Waiters saw us as did the manager but no one came to seat us. We had to flag down... More

The Rock was our restaurant of choice for breakfast three times, as well as two dinners while we stayed at the adjacent Riverside Inn in Boquete. The meals were delicious and the service perfect each time. The included continental breakfast was nice on its own one day, and the add-on options were a great start before some active days. Dinners... More

The food was excellent and the menu was a surprise--we did not expect such inventive and beautifully prepared and presented food in this "out of the way" corner of Panama--what a wonderful surprise to find a foodie paradise in Boquete!

6 of us went out for dinner and had a great experience. We started out with 3 appies and without asking they brought the shared food on 6 plates - one for each of us. Everybody enjoyed their meal and again with dessert 3 were ordered to share and 6 came out of the kitchen. Great service by Diugenes and... More

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant recently. The menu is quite varied, the bottled wine is nicely displayed and priced right at the entrance so you are well informed. The food was great but what really set this evening apart from others was the service. You know how sometimes you don't want a full appetizer? In the past,... More

The Rock has good ambience and good service. The food is good but not worth the price compared to many good bouquet restaurants. Wine choices by the bottle are good but by the glass very limited. The desert was expensive and did not measure up to past experience here. This restaurant attracts expats and the prices reflect that. Look around... More
