Best seafood in Astoria

Very humble place with humble staff. The food was very good! Was very happy with our order. Grilled calamari a must! We had the seafood combo and it was a hefty portion for 2! This is my new favorite seafood spot. Would definitely recommend!

I know there aren't that many authentic Mediterranean seafood places, but still, when considering quality of food, and quantity, for the money, I wouldn't recommend Sabry's. We had a party of 18 (9 children eating off of our plates) so essentially 9 adults ordering an entry each. Bill came to $500 w/tip. I wouldn't consider it really gourmet. We were... More

I love bringing the family here to enjoy a traditional Egyptian style seafood. We start with the eggplant and fresh bread. I usually have the grilled fish. It's served whole, coated in bran and grilled till the bran is blackened. Peel back the coating and enjoy the tender juicy fish. It's served with a side of fried rice. I like... More

Came in on a Sunday-party of 6 without reservations. The ambiance is cozy & the tables are well spaced. The place is very clean all the way down to the bathroom. Staff is warm, friendly, & informative. We ordered the 1-Sabry's grilled combo ( shrimp-calamari-salmon) 2-Shrimp marinara with linguini 3- Fried Branzini 4-Grilled jumbo shrimp 5- Fried whiting All entrees... More

This restaurant was amazing. The seafood came fresh. They picked the fish right off of the ice, and out of the lobster tank. They filleted and cooked it right at that time. This is an evening out, not a fast dinner. The pita bread came out hot from the oven (so hot it was hard to hold). Everything was absolutely... More

We often take the N train to Astoria, Queens, to eat at Greek seafood restaurants, shop at Greek supermarkets and eat at great Italian restaurants. Now we'll return to eat at Sabry's, an excellent Egyptian seafood restaurant. The prices are relatively low, the fish is fresh and right there for your selection, cooked in an open kitchen by fish-cooking experts... More

As an avid fisherman, fresh is the key element when I eat fish at a restaurant. Unfortunately, that's the only aspect of a good meal I enjoyed my first and only meal at Sabry's. The filet was too salty to an extreme. It was overcooked to be borderline burned. The lemon slice I requested with my order arrived litterally as... More

Excellent seafood . All around good selections freshly prepared. If you enjoy juicy grilled sardines this is the place for you. Barbecue shrimp delicious and plentiful. Parking may be a problem, but definitely worth the trip. If you get stuck in La Guardia airport, it is only a 10 minute ride. From manhattan I suggest the subway.

The seafood here never fails to impress us - we come about 4-6 times per year from Manhattan to eat here. We are devoted lovers of fresh seafood and enjoying trying all different preparations. The fish at Sabry's is impeccably fresh, and the spicing/sauce for the grilled fish is absolutely delicious. We've tried about 3 different white fish, salmon, shrimp... More

We went all-out here and had appetizers, meals, and desserts, and it was all absolutely wonderful. The grilled squid was superb as was the baby shark. Service was excellent, and the music they were playing was great too! All around a great spot and not too expensive for what you get.
