Great Paninis!!

This is great little sandwich shop. I had the best panini ever, the prosciutto and fig - awesome!! Every time I go or order I always think I'll try something new, but I always end up with the prosciutto and fig panini! I guess I am adventurous the first time I go to a restaurant, if it works out... read more

I was so pleasantly surprised with little restaurant. The food was very tasty. My honey picked a good one, we will return. CC

we are really upset to write this review because we liked this place and have been there more than once. we decided to reserve a table for Valentine's day as we wanted to celebrate in a casual and tasty way but we found a very unexpected surprise: the whole menu had been substituted with a special "fancy" menu that we... While we were visiting NYC a friend who lives in Brooklyn recommended this place. It was not bad but I wasn't terribly impressed either. The service was good- we had to wait but not long. The environment was comfortable and the prices were fair. The food was warm, fresh and tasty just nothing to "write home about"- basic maybe. I'd... More

This is one of our favorite places to go in Astoria. My husband and I frequent this establishment because the food is always reliable and it's not too expensive. Just be careful and try not to order too much! I always order a panini and I end up bringing it home. They also have crostini which are good too. Just... More

I have been going here for years. The food is consistently good quality and delicious. You must try the green beans (served cold with shaved parmesan, croutons and truffle oil). All of the panini are yummy. The servers are all friendly and have great recommendations if you don't know which panino to choose.

Il Bambino has great panini, of course; it's who they are/what they do. My personal favourite is the artichoke panini (romesco, olive spread, and goat cheese). I order it all the time and never get tired of it. Their hot chocolate is phenomenal: "regular" flavour, nutella, and peanutbutter are your choices, and you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

panini's galore, interesting combinations, but not challenging. my husband loves this place, even the salads!! the mimosa salad with hard boiled egg is perfect. the crostini's work best for me, can get a little variety and feel very satisfied and not stuffed. great wine selection. friendly service. just a really easy, comfortable, delicious place to eat. a go to place... We stopped in before heading to Laguardia, and are glad that this was our last taste of New York for a while! We ordered the Sweet sausage panini. It had orange marmalade, hot peppers, Rosemary aioli and fontina. Oh my gosh was it good! And one sandwich was plenty for the two of us, especially because we also shared the... More

We have been here before and the food is as good as earlier. We would not like to miss this restaurant when visiting NY. There is one issue though that they should address wich was irritating, they charged for a chilli sauce when Tabasco was requested. We do not like that but they took it away from the cheque when...
