I really liked the food. Staff has some issues but food kinda balances out. ( not saying bad service) but feel like from owners to dishwashers need to look a little more as if they give a damn if your there or not

We are visiting friends in Astoria, and they suggested to meet for dinner. We loved everything about this place! Great service and tasty dishes. We had appetizers, fish, calamari, octopus, souvlaki, pastichio, potatoes, gemista. Everything was delicious like Greece! We would definitely be back next time we are in Astoria.

Have ate at Bahari several times. The food is always excellent and the service is wonderful. Last night I visited with a large group of non- Greek friends. As a first experience for many they were blown away. The Avgolemeno soup is full of chicken and vegetables and is better then my grandmothers. The lamb was succulent, lemon potatoes delicious,... Bahari is a very good Greek restaurant in Astoria, Queens. It has a large menu of fish and meat options - but the house specialty is charcoal-grilled whole fish - with a variety of choices. The restaurant is large, but very popular, so it can get crowded on weekends. Reservations are recommended. When there are very busy, the service can... More

I've been here many times Invited friends that have never been to Astoria. The minute they walked in they said this is our kind of Place, boy were they right. The four of us had seven appetizers and one dinner. We had a wonderful time and we struggled to get out the door. We will be back

Lovely Greek restaurant! This is a spacious restaurant, wonderful decor and most important to me not noisy. Even at its busiest you can carry a conversation. Fresh seafood and traditional Greek fare. The wait staff is wonderful! We have tried the porgies, red snapper, moussaka, pastichio, fried smelt, grilled octopus, fried calamari and many more. And you get complimentary desert... More

My Greek boyfriend and I were in NYC for a long weekend. We got a tip that this was a good place so made the trip from the island to Queens. We were not dissapointed. Hospitable staff, nice decor. I don't know what everyone is talking about with small portions.........the portions were huge. We had Pastitsio and grilled squid. Sides... More

Walked into Bahari a bit before they were ready to open. Waitress at the front door was sweet and said we could hang out for half an hour or just come back. After smelling fresh fish as soon as we entered the front door, my friend and I had to come back. Seated with ease as we came into town... More

This could be a very nice resturant, nice decor, good service. We had moussaka-- not anything great, on the contrary... and lamb-- not great either-- and typical Greek hors d'oeuvres-- the last were the best but very small portions. The main dishes and the retsina were really grade B but too pricy for that. As I walked out, I saw... More

Came here to celebrate our friends' daughters' baptism. We had the entire back room to ourselves and it was wonderful. Food was really delicious. Service was excellent. Since everything was pre-arranged, I had no idea what the dishes were called. We had a salad with cheese, fried eggplant and zucchini, pork something or tilapia, and dessert. My favorite course was... More
