I only come to NYC one week out of every month. With all of the choices of restaurants, Elias is one of my favorites. He has a large selection of fresh fish caught from local fisherman. Right now, soft shell crab is in season. I had the Greek salad for my appetizer with soft shell crab and dandelion for my... More

Good food including fish and wonderful lamb chops. Service-medium decor could use some updating including the tables and chairs but you can't fault the food.

The only place where you can can a good fish dish without the stress of looking for parking. Just know that there is no dessert menu.

People who don't know New York all that well might find this kind of restaurant shocking, in poor taste, etc. One reviewer here says that they were never presented with a menu. That's because this restaurant has no menus. You walk in and look at what's FRESH on the boards that day. They just make the fish you choose from... More

We have been coming here for years and really love the fresh fish simply grilled with olive oil, lemon, oregano and other herbs. We live in lower Manhattan but have no problem getting on the train for a delicious meal here. This is an unpretentious place with good food and decent service. It's often very busy so have a little... More

My husband and I are avid travellers and have eaten in the finest restaurants around the world, so this review is relative to our experiences. Although Elias Corner is far far from "fine" in its decor and gourmet ranking, it does have the best prepared fresh fish we have ever eaten! We have been going to Elias' for years, however... More

I ate a greek salad, grilled octopus and the soft shell crab. The ingredients could not have been any fresher. The soft shell crab is cooked in olive oil, garlic and wine. Need I say more.. I do not know why I thought I had to go all of the way to Manhattan to eat food like this! The waitresses... More

This past weekend a friend and i ended up at Elias after failed attempts to secure reservations at other more hip places in Astoria. Good thing. I have not been here in four years but they have not missed a beat. This place with large windows lets the light in. It has a strong neighborhood feel and is especially perfect... More

Wow, is the correct word to kick off this review. I have been to Elias Corner twice, one a few years back when I lived in Astoria, Queens and recently March 2013 when I was craving fresh seafood. Is "Simply Amazing", because literally their simplicity is what makes them Amazing. One word that pretty much sums up my experience is... More

A visit to Elias Corner is for a group of friends 4 or more diners who love fresh fish is the only reason to go there to eat dinner. Ultra casual, no menu, no frills dining offers delicious greens salad, calamari, grilled shrimp, and many types of unusual fish only served in fine restaurants in NYC . Focus on sharing... More
