SUPERB!

Just had dinner at Taverna Kyclades East Village after a year ago having tried the Astoria restaurant. The meal and service were superb. We shared the octopus as an appetizer between three then shared two mains, one of sword fish skewers and one of prawns cooked in a oozo and feta red sauce. The... read more

Have eaten here often and never disappointed. Yesterday there was a heat wave going on, so disappointed no air conditioning. They slide the glass panels open and that was it. Had to sit on outside patio to breath. Had the flounder sooooooo good. Next time I'll going after sun set it won't be so uncomfortable. Oh, they have a signature... More

The food is amazing and so fresh. But be prepared to have to wait 45 mins or more, I've never not had to wait for a table there. But so worth the wait. The service is great and they give you free dessert too.

Checked on TripAdvisor for some Greek restaurants to eat at, while we were visiting and this one had some great reviews We were meeting friends that use to live in Astoria and she said that: yes this was “THE” place to go for Greek food. Our hotel concierge also said that this was her favorite greek restaurant So off we... More

My friend invited me to dinner here. We got there and were told the wait time was about an hour. As we sat waiting, we noticed some people were seated immediately because "they had kids" and greeted the hostess with a hug. I started to get annoyed after an hour of waiting and watching people get seated that only waited... More

Always see tremendous lines. Be patient and you will taste some very good Greek dishes. Spinach pie was very good, the lamb dish was outstanding, great sausage. Calamari was ok. Will return to try some more Greek delicacies. Service is very quick place is always crowed so there is no time for pleasantries. No reservations are accepted so get there... More

Service is not exactly the point of this place, but food was. It is Michelin Guided recomended and has a reason for that, the food. Had the best grilled octopus in my life, so tender, juicy and tastefull, melting in your mouth

Best to get there before the crowds for lunch. I love their shrimp, tzatzki, saga ski, spinach pie, pita, and galactaboureka (free for dinner)

Without knowing anything about this place we stopped in for dinner. Wow, food was great. Had the stuffed sole. It was enough food for 2, but ate it all. Had the dolmates appetizer. Highly recommended. This is definitly a low key neighborhood place. Plastic seating outside. One of the coolest places I've been to, and I travel the world. It's... More

We went last night for the first time. One of the reasons we never went before, is because there are many very good Greek restaurants in Astoria and I never thought that a restaurant would be worth this long wait. Place is very casual, very busy but the staff are very efficient. Food is prepared fast, and worth the wait.... More
