Come here every 2 weeks. The best grilled octopus, peasant salad, and fried red mullet. We get the same 3 things all the time. Well worth the wait.

Located on Ditmars Blvd. in the heart of the Greek community of the NYC neighborhood of Astoria in Queens this Taverna serves by far some of the most amazing seafood plates in NYC. The Greeks are renowned for being seasoned masters in the art of seafood. During lunch or dinner the line can easily extend down the sidewalk and wait... More

Been here many times and it always is great. The portions are perfect for sharing so your purse won't be empty when you leave. Go back to the kitchen and check which fish looks the best or just ask the the cooks :"what's good ",they'll hook you up. The Lemon potatoes are to die for . Have a bottle if... More

My husband and I were checking out a museum in Queens and went to Taverna Kyclades. The hostess told us it would be a 45 minute wait, at 6:30 Sat., and it was. We were able to sit outside but not near where people were waiting. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered a small Greek salad, which came with... More

I live several hours away, but travel often to NYC for business. I typically stay in Queens and always have several dinners at Taverna Kyclades. They serve the best fish at the best prices. The portions are huge. There is always a crowd waiting to be seated and if the wait is long the hostess, Viloetta, always comes around with... More

Just great, one of the best Greek food experiences ever: basic but perfect! Highly recommended: Tzadziki, Peasant Salad, Squashed Eggplant, Grilled Shrimp, Medditarean Sea Bass! Service was no frills and to the point: not rude but almost close - but we didn't mind. There is a line of people outside waiting to get in all the time!!! The place is... More

Food was really good. However, tasted a little fresh. Adding a little salt and pepper definitely helped. Very crowded and had to wait almost an hour. I had the broiled seafood platter and would try something else next time.

We stopped at Taverna Kyclades at around Noon on a Sunday, just in time. It was a beautiful day, so we took a table outside. If you use your imagination, it could be the Plaka in Athens. We ordered a large Greek salad, which was served with two enormous pieces of feta cheese. The salad was easily enough for four.... More

Fresh seafood, cooked to perfection! Average atmosphere but is always very crowded because the food you find here you don't find at many restaurants. Friendly staff!

I don't get the WOW vibe for the food. Service is excellent along with the ownership but food is nice. Nothing more. Price wise I think a little overpriced but knowing Astoria it's almost like manhattan.
