It was my friend's birthday and we always like to go on an adventure and since the restaurant had good reviews on Tripadisor, we went. It was a weekday and the restaurant had only a couple of customers, so it was nice and quiet. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. We ordered appetizers. The one that stood out to be... More

This place is my absolute favorite! I go all the time for date night with my husband. We love everything about it, from the drinks to the food to the decor to the service. Their capiroskas (caipirinha with vodka) and sangrias are fantastic. We always get them. The linguica grelhada or grilled sausage is our favorite appetizer. It comes with... More

Yes, it can be pretty hard to save room for dessert! We're glad you've enjoyed it all, Samara, especially considering your familiarity with Brazilian cuisine. Can't wait to have you and your husband back for more! See you soon, Herbert, Owner More

This restaurant offers the best value for fine dining in NYC. I think that the owner's name is Herbert and he couldn't be nicer or more creative with his menu. He is an artist. Seriously. My girlfriend loves the grilled octopus. Personally, I love the Veggie dish with deep fried spinach that doesn't taste greasy or oily. The waitresses are... More

Malagueta Restaurant, NY is a small restaurant but food is really great. It is especiallized on Brazilian food where you can find a nice "picanha", "feijoada", "moqueca" and many other excellent meals. All of them very well prepared and in fair price.

Appreciate it, Cesar! It looks like you're from Brazil yourself, so we can't tell you how excited we are to hear this from you. Thanks again for joining us while you were in town. All the best, Herbert, Owner More

Everything here was good. Went with a friend and we got the black eyed pea appetizer. Delicious with nice big shrimp on top. My friend got the duck and it was very tasty. The rice with veggies mixed in looked so good. It was a pretty plate with the sauce and everything I enjoyed the picanha. It was cooked just... More

This is the best Brazilian restaurant we've been to in NYC. No matter what you order, everything is to die for! needless to say we've been to this place countless times. The service can be a little slow specially when they are very busy though. If you want to go for the Feijoada, it's a good idea to make a... More

Regular menu on Mother's Day. Small neighborhood restaurant. Very quaint. Food was excellent. From the beef stew to the shrimp and rice to the creme brûlée. Well worth the trip.

It was our pleasure to celebrate Mother's Day with you and yours, Jeffrey! It sounds like you loved everything from the ambiance to the dishes, but you only gave us 4 stars. Let me know if there's anything in particular we could do better next time to really knock it out of the park! All the best, Herbert, Owner More

The food was great. Service is spectacular. We arrive at 1030pm and we didnt know they close at 11pm. They never told us anything about the time and even after 1230am they offer us a dessert. Over all this is a very good restaurant with the best caipirinhas in town. Thank you for the good experience

We were happy to have you, Andrew! I can't tell you how excited I am to know that you've yet to find a better Caipirinha. Hopefully we've had the chance to pour many more since March, and if not, we'd love to see you. Cheers, Herbert, Owner More

Feel like I just had lunch in Rio. My husband is Brazilian and he 100 per cent approves. A must visit in Queens. I just wish they had pao de queijo. This would have made it perfect.
