Wanting to surprise my girlfriend for our final night in Morocco I booked a room at the L'Heure Bleue Palais in Essaouira. The hotel, right inside the Medina, so unless you can't carry your baggage a little way, don't let a stranger with a cart charge you 5 Euros to wheel it over. In fact I believe the hotel will... We loved everything about this Relais Et Chateaux boutique hotel. Perfect location at the edge of the medina, steps to terrific shops and historical sites and a beautiful atmospheric place to stay. The rooms are small but pretty and comfortable with every convenience, tiled floors and Moroccan-style furnishings. The rooms surround a central riad which serves as the hotel's breakfast... More

We had a wonderful weekend break here. We had high expectations and were not disappointed. We arrived early well before the normal checkin. We only had to wait around 40 minutes and during that time were provided by delicious juice and cookies. We had booked a delux twin and were upgraded to to a suite. It was incredible, Spacious and... Went in for coffee with a view to having dinner but found the toilets grubby and the place dark and depressing

It's been many years since I stayed in a Relais et Chateaux. This traditional merchant house grew in French Colonial style around a central palm courtyard to four floors topped by a roof terrace and swimming pool with superb views of the town, Arab street and Atlantic breakers. It's a superb location and calm fastidiously but not fussily serviced with... More

We have stayed at this beautiful hotel twice, this time we came just for the restaurant. The ambience is beautiful and the food very good. Previously we have rated it "5" but this time the grade goes downto "4" because od bad wine, they offer a set menue with three courses incl wine. The food was very good but the... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on our Riad. We regret that you didn't like the wine as the last time. Yet it is a neighboring vineyard organic production and its success is considerable. But of course we respect your taste and I promise you that the next time our sommelier will delight you! More

Went in to look around garden, terrace and view menu for restaurant. Unfriendly unwelcoming, rude really, decided not to bother going back to eat. Perhaps it's different if you're a guest...

We booked on the day and I was surprised we got a reservation. The rather anonymous door in the street doesn't prepare you for the lovelylant-plant-filled courtyard within. We had drinks here and then moved to the warmer Dining Room We chose the 5 course "L'heure bleu" menu which includes 3 glasses of wine from their own exclusive vineyard. First... More
