We spent four nights in Essaouira in total, and thought this was the best restaurant we dined at by far ! Excellent value for money, excellent service and even better traditional surroundings. Following a number recommendations we opted for the monkfish tagine - one of the best tagines we had during our entire stay in Morocco! Nothing quite like it.... More

This is good exemplar what happens when some place got good reviews from Tripadvisor- it is full of tourists. There is nothing wrong, it is just boring. Food was good but boring. Did I like it? Yes Would I go again? No

Passed by La Cle de Voute just the other night and experienced the seafood pastilla as well as Lill's Cote de Boeuf with grilled vegetables. I was amazed at the quality as well as the value. In this secret, elegant bistro, Lili continues continues to offer the best of Morocco plus continental cuisine all with incredible value, presentation and service.... More

Beautiful decorated restaurant at the end of a small alley. The food here was fantastic, we had vegetable soup, catch of the day, Thai scrimp with rice and as dessert lemon pie and chocolate fondant with orange. Each course was a feast. The waitress was very attentive and kind, all in all a great night!

or perhaps in Morocco...LiLi creates the most incredible food, atmosphere and feeling of hospitality in this jewel of a restaurant. If you are in search of a glorious filet de bouef with grilled fresh vegetables,or the most incredible pastilla, filet de agneau tangine, kefta, mousse au chocolate or creme Brulle' you've arrived at what I think is the best restaurant... This is a beautiful little restaurant with lovely, attentive staff and a great "feel" to it. The food was superb - perfectly cooked fillets of rouget (three large pieces of fish) with veggie accompaniments, so beautifully laid out on the plate that it was almost a shame to eat it. Husband's lamb tagine was also perfectly cooked with a large... More

Marocco is a very nice country to visit, though their cuisine is rather 'a bit of the same all the time'. After a week inside the country, we got to spent our vacation ending in Essaouira... and desperate for a change in menu... La Clé de Voûte is the right choice... limited but good choices, tasty, all at very reasonable... More

My wife and I loved the restaurant. Very good food, super-friendly service, delightful interior setting. The Monkfish tagine (recommended by a previous reviewer) was absolutely stunning. Staff the most friendly we encountered anywhere. Prices very reasonable. No alcohol served. All in all a must try in Essaouira.

I ate here twice while in Essaouira. Truly exceptional food. Everything on the menu is tasty and abundant. The pastillas are amazing as was the Thai Shrimp. The other evening I had the couscous with lamb. The food here is the best in all of Morocco! I live in NYC and this restaurant would compare with the top places in... More

We both ordered the menu of the day, which was Salad Moroccan, Fish of the day (Muille?), Chocolate Mousse and Moroccan Mint Tea. We received an extra little bowl of creamed beetroot soup as a starter and everything was so beautifully displayed, prepared and tasty. Our best meal by far in Morocco and at a very good price. Service with... More
