Loved this place. We were pretty much the first people there but we were welcomed in and took a table in the corner. The waiter was great. It was only his second day on the job but he was just brilliant. We had a lovely meal and bottle of red. The live music was great and we both thoroughly enjoyed... More

We enjoyed great food here on two occasions on our trip to Essaouira. The food was delicious AND it is one of the few places you can get a beer or wine with dinner. The staff was great and very attentive. My only complaint is that the live music is VERY, VERY loud-good but loud!!

We returned twice to this very enjoyable restaurant after a gap of 5 years. Food is imaginative using the best of local ingredients, staff are consistently attentive and charming and the live music sets the scene for a relaxed, fun evening. Both fish and vegetarian options are some of the best available in Essaouria.

Top class food, top class service and nice entertainment. We had the best steak of our trip here, and other stuff is also delicious! Its not cheap, but for the quality of food and ambiance it's cheap for western standards. Would definitely recommend this one to everyone who visits Essaouira.

I think Le Sirocco should be higher on the list of recomended Essaouira restaurants. It has a varied menu of very tasty food and a large wine list. The food is Moroccan-French fusion, presided over by the French owner. I had a tagine fulll of sweet fish and shellfish; my husband had a delicious grilled steak. (We liked it so... More

Easy to find but got the impression people book ahead. Our table was a bit tucked away but service was excellent. Food excellent, atmosphere with live '60's' tunes then authentic music and dancing. Small but well worth a visit. Our Riad also recommended.

We went to Le Sirocco with our kids (10 and 12) for dinner on Sunday evening as they have a magician from 8pm. Although we did book there were always a couple of spare tables so we might have been OK without a reservation. We own a holiday rental property in Essaouira so we know most of the local restaurants... More

Recommended by our riad, we enjoyed dinner at this restaurant last night. The food was excellent, wine choice good but the highlight of the night were the guys playing music. As the night progressed and the place thinned out, those left really got involved with the music and it was like a party. A good night out

Have eaten here twice in the last week, on both occasions the food and service has been superb especially the seafood tagine and the chocolate fondant. Different live music acts both nights which really added to the athmosphere. By far and away the best restaurant I have experienced in essaouira

Lots of locals eat here - a sign it's great and we were not disappointed. Ample olives and Moroccan bread followed by calamari for starters. Lamb tagine with figs, sultanas etc. The best tagine of the holiday! The live music added to the relaxed and happy mood and the decor was traditional. A must visit at fantastic value,
