There was a good choice of food and wine and we thought that the quality and price was very good. The honeyed beef tagine with fruits was amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive.

This was one of the more relaxed and atmospheric restaurants we visited in Essaouira but in truth the food wasn't very good. Outside of our perfect hotel (L'Heure Bleu Palais) we struggled to find any combination of good food in pleasant surroundings. The food was much better at Ferdaouss but there the dining room was very basic and it wasn't... More

I had walked by the door of this restaurant during my three days in Essaouira and being on a budget, the table d'hôte menu looked interesting. It came recommended and didn't disappoint. From a choice of two items per course, I had the fish soup, chicken & saffron tagine & caramelised crepes. A bowl of Harissa dipped olives & bread... More

I had the Royal Couscous and my boyfriend had a Tagine, both were delicious! Highly recommend this place, it has a lovely feel to it.

Quite taken with the workman shining the unicorn's horn (Licorne is French for Unicorn, as if you Trip Advisor types didn't know) when we wandered past in the morning, and equally taken when we went back to eat in the evening. Slightly Gothic feel to interior, lots of dark carved wood, Christopher Lee sitting in the corner (not really) but... More

This place serves very good food and offers good service. We went here on our first evening in Essaouira and followed the hotel recommendation to go here. We both had the Couscous Royal which was very good. The ambience is very nice in this restaurant. The 3-star rating is based on the quite steep prices compared to other restaurants visited... More

Recommended by our hotel, we were not disappointed. Beautiful decor and attentive staff owned by a striking French women. My beef tagine with tomato and caramelised onion was one of the nicest dishes I have had in Morocco Good wine list and reasonable price Certainly would go back and would recommend

Our least-favorite meal in a week in Essaouira, although that says more about Essaouira to be fair. The restaurant is designed beautifully, but the air conditioning was either nonexistent or not functioning the night we were there. The food was good, and there was a full cocktail menu - a rarity during our trip - but the sheer heat and... More

A large restaurant decorated in a attractive Moroccan style, well laid out and comfortable. Close to the ramparts and easy to spot. Had good Fish Soup followed by an excellent Couscous Royal. They serve alcohol and prices are reasonable.
