So good that we we returned

We were taken here on our first night by a local. It was important to us to be able to get a beer and wine. We chose fish and it was excellent. The whole meal was imaginatively presented and with interesting flavours. Went back again and the meal was even better. There is a nice atmosphere... read more

We went here as it was one of only a few places highly ranked that also served wine. We did not have a reservation but managed to get a 2 person table which was apparently the only one not reserved. The place was nice though slightly high priced for Morocco. I ordered the steak and my girlfriend the fish. The... More

The food here was good, and covered the standard Moroccan bases including good tagines. But we had better elsewhere and wouldn't say this was stand-out though. Reliable if you're looking for good Moroccan food though.

Very nice ambience, like visiting someone s home. Food was really good and it was plenty. And the soundtrack - Leonard Cohen and Pink Martini 😍

Our first night in Essaouira we tried to get a table but we hadn't booked so ere turned away. Our riad owner (Riad Baladin's Nicole) urged us to go again and she booked it for us after 6pm on the day. This is the only time you can book. We had a table by the wood fire which was so... More

This is a sort of fusion of Italian culinary and the local one. This means that balsamic will be used in a tagine and so on. It is a rich blend and pretty tasty - while still being cheap (relatively).

After all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor my expectations for this restaurant were very high. I can't complain about the food or the service, they were both adequate, but the restaurant did not blow my socks off!!! The Razor Clam Risotto starter was the best part of the meal and Lamb with Pear tagine seems to be a staple... More

So we came here on our final evening in Essaouira. I'm so glad we made it as it was one of the best meals we had in Morocco if not the best steak. The restaurant itself is quirky with lots of cool retro fittings that makes you feel as if you have stepped into the sixties or seventies (in a... More

A fillet of beef the size of my fist but cooked as delicately as I would expect in Paris with a perfectly balanced balsamic. Open fire and feast of decor to stimulate smiles and fun. One of our three favourite restaurants in windy E.
