Amazing

Took forever to find but oh god was it worth it. Chicken gorgonzola tagine was the best of the holiday for my partner, I had the steak in balsamic vinegar which was delightful. However forget all that and order the lemon sorbet for desert truly stunning ☺

Delicious food and v stylish decor with brilliant music! It fills up quickly so get there early or book in advance. It had a wonderful retro feel that reminded us of hip restaurants/ bars in Brussels.

70s style décor creates a deliberately vintage feel, rumour is it that the look has been purposefully maintained for decades. Food prepared well and cooked simply. Some variations of classics and unique additions to the menu. Unpretentious and enjoyable. Direct service, in a busy and relaxed restaurant. Short and simple menu, it's no fuss just like the whole place. You'll... More

What a quirky restaurant! This place is full of paraphernalia from the 70s giving it a truly retro feel. The food was lovely and the service very good. Definitely worth a visit just to see the old TV sets and gadgets from the era!!

Having been recommended Elizir by almost everyone staying in our resort, and having read about it in the various British newspaper reviews of Essaouira that came out in May after the direct flights from Luton began, we felt that we had to go! Elizir is very easy to find, just off one of the main streets through the Medina. Its... More

We came from getting a recommendation, tiny struggle to find the place at first but if you find the explora shop its next door to that. All of the decoration is particularly placed and looks a bit like vintage sheek. The resto looks beautiful all around. Then it came to the food we had a bottle of house red which... More

This place was recommended by fellow travelers. They said we shouldn't miss it and that it was on the small side and wildly popular so we must try to book. We went to the owner of our hotel as we figured he would have a better shot at getting us in. Turned out it is his favourite restaurant in Essaouria... More

Ate here twice on recent visit to Essaouira. Really good food well cooked. Tagines and fresh fish spot on usually with a twist. The Lamb with Pears was a revelation. Desserts if anything even better . Service great and very friendly. Decor is unique with 60/70`s seating and furnishings. Intimate setting anyone visiting the town should go here!

Despite nearly giving up because we couldn't find it, this is one of the best finds in Essaouira so far (if you are standing facing Explora on the main drag, just look up to your left and it's the first doorway in the alley). The decor is quirky, but actually beautifully done. And whilst it looks like a junkyard of... More

Very quirky, shabby chic, brick lane market-esque. Delicious food, veggie option was homemade ricotta pistachio ravioli, and was delicious. Desert delicious. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended for a "different" experience. Check map before going, a little hard to find (door and stairs leading to upstairs dining rooms)
